Promoting other brands, yes, that would be rude. Talking about other brands, no. Do people on GasGas forums talk about Husqvarna bikes? Of course they do, from time to time. There are many people who own or have owned both GasGas and Husqvarna bikes and it's only natural to want to compare the two and otherwise mention them in the appropriate sections. And this thread is in the "Bike Industry Newsroom", right?

And what do you think all this is about ? Just a comparison ?
Why, I always go to the Gas Gas forum to talk about my Hondas, Pentons, Puch, Husqvarna, Hercules, Sachs, DKW, Ossa, Hodaka, Kawasaki, Royal Enfield, BMW, BSA and Zundapp. Just seems the place to do that. NOT !

I simply asked questions on this site about the Gas Gas brand because it was already a thread started on the subject and I trust and value the opinions of some members on this site. Frankly haven never even seen a Gas Gas why ask on that site; a site I am not even a member of. Hey if you don't want members to talk about other brands start your on site and run it the way you see fit or ask the owner of this site to run it the way you want it run. I visit this site every day to learn and share about my Huskys learning about another brand from guys and girls I trust is just icing on the cake to me. Just my 2 cents.

My point is this discussion has gone far beyond a casual comparison and more onto a Gas Gas is better discussion and I am going to buy one discussion. Which, I feel is a disservice to the members here.
    Just an observation.

Ya know Vinduro, You don't have to read this thread.:excuseme:

If you don't like what you are reading then move on man! Pick a thread you do like and stop raining on everyone's parade. You seem to be the only one that has a problem with it.

Certainly there are many points of view on the "other bikes" kind if thing...I would hazard to guess that MOST husky owners on here own and also enjoy other bikes...heck even Kelly has a BMW and a ATK and I think thats awesome....he is also one of the greatest supporters of the brand Husky

Maybe (and I am just saying) we need a "other bikes" section...but just the same ...I dont think this should result in a sensitive issue

Its all good in my view

I see your point Dwight, but man-o-man this site is pretty chill. Hell, one of the longest and most popular threads is about BEER !

We all love Husky's, but it doesn't mean we don't check out other hot chicks (or Dudes (for Woodschick and Dirtdame)) from time to time.

Ask Joe Chod...can any rider on any bike show up to the Northeast Husky Gathering or do you at least need to come with someone on a Husky?

So let's make a rule...you can only participate or start a thread if you own a least one Husky. If so, you are allowed to talk about any bike that you want to on this site! I think we're O.K. here guys. I of course have had one too many of those wonderful beers that are mentioned in the "Beer Thread" and apologize in advance or not.

    that sounds good to me...

or even something like "the diner" where you need to logged in....

of course we could forget that and have a slogan "NO RIFF RAFF" husky only:D

I hope Norman or Joe will chime in soon :excuseme:

    I'll chime in here, if y'all don't mind :)

There is absolutely nothing wrong going on in this thread. We are all entitled to our opinions, and I'm willing to bet all of us here probably have more than one brand in our garage. I've said publicly that I would have owned another GasGas this year had they not been so expensive as compared to years past. I ended up with an `09 WR125 (now a 144) and couldn't be happier. I will probably own another GasGas at some point in the future. Big deal. Does that make me less of a dedicated Husky enthusiast? No. Does it put my CafeHusky SuperMod status in jeopardy? Absolutely not. I have 2 Huskys in my garage, and would like to have a plated TE450 someday but I'll have to wait til my KTM 450 EXC gives up the ghost (gasp! Yes, it's true, there are 2 KTM's in my garage. Deal with it:D) I also commute to work every day on a Suzuki. I still ride my Honda CR125 when the mood strikes, and I have to move a plated Yamaha WR426 out of the way to get to it, as it's in the back of the garage next to the 3 GasGas bikes. I buy what works best for me, and I see nothing wrong with talking about all these bikes on this forum. We're all motorcycle riders, first and foremost. We've all been drawn together due to our love of Husqvarnas, sure, but I think this crowd here is mature enough to eschew some of the blind brand loyalty that is found on some other sites.

With that, I am going to go have a glass of wine and finish watching my Giants game. Good night, everyone :)

I forgot about the GSXR in the back yard and the old racebikes in the basement (original 1987 Honda Hurricane 600 and a GS550 Superbike:lol:)

If WoodsChick has too many bikes. Then I must be really sick. Multibles of Husqvarna, Hodaka, Ossa, Penton, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Hercules, Sachs, DKW, Honda, Yamaha, MZ, Puch, Can-Am, Zundapp, P&M, BSA, Royal Enfield and BMW.
Yes, I have had a GasGas and recently KTMs.
    LOL.

As a sponsor here and resident husky cheer leader I have absolutely no issues with discussing other bikes. If it turns into husky bashing as in the GG or sherco etc kills the huskys and they are crap kinda thing, yeah, that would be distasteful here. many on this board have many other bikes of different brands. OK to discuss that here from time to time in my mind. To me this is a place where people who are like minded in that they love the husky brand come to chat. If that includes some bikes that are not huskys from time to time whats the harm. If it is a harm it will be dealt with by the moderators.

There are so many great bikes on today's market, I think it is healthy to discuss and compare all the strengths and weaknesses on our site. We all love our Husky's and comparison is the best way to improve the brand. I like to think that what we think and want actually matters to the powers that be. How are we to know what is possible without knowledge of the best attributes of the other marques?

George has quite a few bikes in right now. Just got two 2010 WR300's in and put them together and each started on the 3rd kick. Couple of TE630's, a 2010 TE 310 and a couple more, 450 and 250, either a TE or TXC. I think he said some old dudes are interested in the WR300's...
