I wonder what the differences would be between all three. Now I wished I had tryied this process.:banghead: Because it's just the difference that I didnt try first makes me wonder.

Sorry Dangermouse449 would like to try but I dont want to spoil my fun , And knowing my luck I'll probaly end up further back than I started. MAYBE END UP GETTING TOWED BACK BY A KTM. EVEN WORSE STILL MY YOUNG BLOKES JAP BIKE. NO THANKS

    Ha ha ha.
Nothing wrong with a Japper mate! Not much of a fan of the Kick Till Monday bikes though.
It was because the TE had Jap parts that I bought it.

ok a YZ250F. Yes a jap bike and I did enjoy it but wanted Euro and the magic button and something that was different to everybody else bike thats why I went the TE449 as the say [beauty is in the eye of the beholder] .

When I removed mine I had Map3, stock exhaust de-catted and no other changes. Stock air box, filter, spark plug and all the charcoal canister stuff is still on. For me it pulled way harder down low and seemed to rev free-er all around. IT will easily pull into the 80's (MPH) up hill.

    Hello,
I bought 2011 TE (used) with around 900 km on it. The bike wasn't switched to Race Map II, only Akrapovic exhaust was installed instead of regular pipe. I'm a beginner in enduro and actually dont want to switch Race Map for full engine power, power and torque is quite enough for me now. The question is - could I leave regular Race MAp for my light use and maintain it according to Street legal Table (Owner's Manual)? Won't it cause damage for my bike? Thank you in advance and sorry for my english..

Not having the original catalytic converter muffler installed would mean not meeting the emission laws already.
The open type Akrapovic muffler will make the bike run leaner & Race Map is for that pipe.
There is hardly any noticeable increase in power, just better fueling for your engine.

Did you mean Race map 2 was tuned for that akrapovic pipe?
But anyway if I will leave everything as it is now should I maintain engine as street legal or as racing use?
As I understood it is better to shift race map to 2 as it will be better for engine, correct? Excuse me for repeating, I just want make sure I got everything correct. Thank you

If you are just riding on the street and has no running issues, yes, I would leave it.

If it has any miss firing, or flat spots in the power that you can feel, it may be lean & require more fuel.
In that case i would use the Map2.

Yurrii Some of the TE449'S and I can say my te449 2012 came out standard with a foam twin air filter. Your air filter my well be a twin air but does not have the twin air name on it.

I can't remember the name but I have found the best air filter's have rubber edges that go over the plastic air filter support they do not rip like the foam.
