    There's no comparison in performance when talking about a bored and stroked 167 versus a bore only 167. Plus, you don't need to have the old style cylinder for the max power kit. The up tite kit kit is a great for a woods racer. But, if you are looking for the ultimate mx engine, the max power 167 kit would be the way to go.

    i would rather have the frame in white, to me the black frame looks like a 70's bike. Krieg, i know u just got the bike but we have the newest frame (12) on our 125 and i think the older (2010) frame turns slightly better. offcourse it takes my son about 2 laps on mx course to break the head mounts on the 10 frame, the 12 frame hasnt broken anything!

    You are exactly right racer726. The bore only 165 does not rev like a 144 or a stroked 165. For MX the max power route is probably a better fit. If you don't need to rev it over 11K then the bore only is certainly a more user friendly/cheaper route. It would be interesting to compare a dyno graph of the two as well as a bottom line expense between the two kits. By the way I am using the new oem 144 cylinder.
