    Ha ha ha.
I took the time to ask the dealer if the Synerject system can be tuned, he said he thought so but hadn't looked into it himself. (As in a module or similar to tune with Yami power tuner style?!? He wasn't sure)

The current range of 4t are under 110kg plus fuel!!
That is lighter than even their own 2t :)

    Yep!
My 300 is a bit heavier than the TE300 husky. Weight is carried low and well balanced, so all good.

I found a 2014 300cc enduro shootout... Husky, KTM, TM and Sherco.
It's given me some bragging rights
    - fastest top end
    - best in slow tech terrain
    - no further points necessary :)

The article lists the Sherco as having 4cs forks but they are OC forks. It also said there's a back up kick starter but the North American importers say there isn't...either way, fun reading the article but where was the Beta? :).

I think it's funny that they mention the power of the motor because all US reviews nicely say it's down on power. Either way, it's quickly becoming my dream bike but I think I'll be hanging around Husky.

Well I just went and had a sit on the new 300se-r factory.

Weighs 105kg but feels way lighter than my SMR449. Even have little hand grab points under the fender to make lifting it easier.

Put my name down for a possible future ride day they are trying to organise. Soo keen! The only bit I didn't like was the shape of the front fender.

2014 Shercos here are running 4CS forks. All adjusters up top like Berg/Husky twins

Yeah I saw those errors but didn't mention them incase it took credibility away from my "fastest top end" bragging rights... :p
I'm convinced on the "slow tech riding" cred but not yet on the "fastest top end 300". In saying that, I've ridden exactly 2 x 300 smokers.
New mag here says 47hp in wild and 38hp in mild mode.
Another review here says the power may not be aggressive enough for some (referring to motocrossers).

The power is very linear and there is no huge hit so it could just be deceiving fast. :excuseme:

They're open chambers. The compression is on the bottom.

I am sure they said they would closed chambered, there you go. :)

Quote (in ADB Sept2014) from Marc Tessier - Boss, Owner of Sherco

"... And it is not enough to make a bike that is good for production and to make money, we need to create excellence - I don't want to make a Renault Twingo, I want to make a Ferrari!..."
    :applause:

    Renault Twingo = a mass-produced buzz box
    Ferrari = a Ferrari!

Stock Michelin Enduro rubber is probably the worst tyres I've had on a bike, mine haven't worn in 300klms and skate all over the shop.
Will be getting them off ASAP (said that 3 weeks ago :D)

    Absolutely shocking rubber.

+1 - The TE had the same horrid tyres on it. The knobs broke off the case, the ones that stayed would not wear at all.

So can you all get a back up kick starter there like the article said? I really couldn't care less about it but that seems to hold a lot of people back from it.
