I keep an eye on my 250 one and have never come close to plugging it completely. Clean it on a regular basis and all is good.

On either the Husky USA or main Husky FB page, there was a poll asking about 2T displacement preferences. 144/150 was on it. I said I'd take one!

Without trying to brag too much, I'll be picking up my TE125 tomorrow. I'm coming off a Husaberg FE390, looking for something lighter and more playful. From what I've read in these initial first hand reports, it sounds like just the ticket!

This will be my first 2t as well, so I'm not sure how much constructive criticism I'll have. I'll be happy to share my impressions though.

Welcome to the crew! It should be a big change from a FE390...

Thanks! So far, what I can tell you is that it loads and unloads a LOT easier than the FE. MAN this thing is LIGHT!

    2 words for you----

    Mo-Mentum!

You'll have a blast with the smaller bore and you WILL become a better rider. I grew up on 125's as a good friend of mine was an X-pro and he used to say about my KTM 300, "Great Bike, great power, but you can ride lazy, 125's make you think, make good choices and learn how to use Momentum" he always told me, 2 words, Mo-Mentum! So I bought a 92 Husky 125WXE and the 300 sat in the garage alot more after I got used to 125 style of riding.

He is so right. If you can ride a 125, you can ride anything, anywhere and with less energy expenditure overall. Plus there is nothing better than spanking your friends on their 250/300/450's in the really snotty/bad conditions on a tidler.

Had mine out again today as we were blessed with mid 50s temps and all I can say is this bike rocks!
The recommended jetting from the owners manual is pretty much spot on for where I ride and the stock suspension is very passable as is for the time being. No 4cs fork complaints from me!
The way it finds traction and has roll on in the lower RPM range just keeps surprising me and of course once you get it on the pipe it rips like a good 125 should!

A quick spin today after work, by the house. 50F and windy, so it never really felt warm. Bike feels stronger, every time I ride it. Amazing, in that it's almost impossible to stall. Jetting by the manual, seems to be spot on, as you say. Full ride tomorrow with some friends, in more technical terrain with some serious climbs. It's going to be low 40's and raining, so it should be interesting! First chance to ride this stuff, after 3 months of deer hunting season, so we're going... no matter what!

Yes it definitely doesn't give a hint of ever wanting to stall. Just lugs and moves forward even if you're a gear high thru roots and stuff. Sounds like you'll get a good test in tomorrow!
I'm running pump gas and Klotz techniplate at 32:1 and mine runs flawlessly from bottom to the top. I'm running an ethanol additive in the gas as well.
I really can't find anything just yet that I don't like
    Have fun tomorrow!

We did 35 miles of the snottiest, nastiest, old fashioned, North East "Mud Running" you could imagine. I don't think I could exaggerate, how little traction we had today. Water up to the airbox at times, roots, logs, ditches and hill climbs. I made the "Blooper Reel" more than once today!

The bike is really good... It does make amazing traction, but you always know and never doubt you're on a 125, but a really good one. After years of not liking Dunlops, (The MX51's on my Husaberg sucked), I'm pretty impressed with the AT-81's on this bike. The only place it suffered power wise, was on plowed fields, that were wet and deep. It must be the smaller bike, but the 4CS seems to work with it. I threw it at some nasty wet stuff today... logs, rocks, roots and expecting it to deflect and throw me on the ground, but it never did.
I can't wait to ride this bike, in South Jersey with some serious traction... look out!:oldman:

You are going to love it in the South Jersey woods! I'll be surprised if you say otherwise.

When I washed the bike this morning, I was quite impressed on how clean the inside of the air box was. Neither my '09 WR125 or '12 Husaberg TE250, would look like that, stock.

This is all awesome info to read - totally reinforcing my decision to get one of these babies! With the holidays, even with a couple of milder weather days, I still haven't been out on mine. Thanks for the ride reports guys!

Bike did come clean. Thank goodness the car wash had hot water, as the mud froze up that night!
