I thought the conditions were perfect.... Makes the men... MEN..... The MX1 class was so fun to watch..... Looks like its past time for Herlings to move up.... seriously... a min 18 second lead on last lap he was stopping on the track and one hand waving the whole way
Perfect? I only see that type of weather on TV! I agree regarding Herlings. You can't hide out in the MX1 Class forever.
+1 regarding Herlings. Some say he is still young... but Geiser is young too and he is doing really good with the big boys
Herlings is 21.... so he still has a really long time to go.... I was bummed for AC222... but man that race all the way back to 7-8 was sweet.... I really like Geisser he's really fun to watch....
Honda must be relieved. A young rider with a knife between his teeth. I am not saying that signing Paulin was a fiasco for HRC because he was 2nd overall last year but they had higher expectations considering the investments. And now he is out for injury. Signing Geisser in the 450 class has been a better call for sure.
Since I have a Husky now I'm rooting for Nagl (and Fabvre as I have a Yam as well). Not quite the start as last year but he looks very fast but seems to be fading towards the end of the motos. To me, he's one of the few euros that has an American riding style. Reminds me of Jason Anderson, both very aggressive and coincidentally both on Husqvarnas. Hope the spectator turnout at the Glen Helen GP is better than the last couple of years, very disappointing. We need more elite American riders to step up, take a small risk with respect to our national series, and represent. That'll turn those two races into something bigger than the MXoN. Man, that would be something to see.
In my opinion its just a KTM corporate business dissension that he is still in the MX2 class. He would be direct competition with KTM's MXGP riders while KTM don't have the pedigree lined up of taking victories in MX2 when he leaves. the age plays in the favor of this approach as he is not forced to move up by the age/champion rule yet (probably after this year he will). He is truly in a class of its own and if staying healthy on the track and in his carrier he can challenge records set by Stefan Everts and AC222. Robert-Jan
Watched MX2 today... WOW ummm Herlings is on a different planet... and this is sooo much better than our surrent SX....
I don't know about Herlings. He dominated the competition the last two seasons , and ruined them with bad injuries, riding too fast when he did not really have to, forgetting that a MX season is long and requires management, not only a tall , fast and talented lad opening full gas all the time. In 2014 Tixier was a lucky champion, and last year it was Gajser. So in my opinion, it is best to be the man right behind Herlings French TV hired Adrien Van beveren as a commentator, - he is #1 enduro rider - and he talked about Herlings, explaining how the guy was playing with the track, using his legs and position on the bike, being fast all the time, even faster on a 250 than the 450 guys . The thing is he is faster on a 250, but not on a 450 when he happened to ride one . Herlings reminds me of cooper Webb, both physically, and on the track. I can't wait to see both of them fully dedicated to the 450 with harsh competitors to fight.
Seems obvious that Herlings will move to 450s when Cairoli retires. Will surely be interesting to see how he does.

Who's your money on for the MXGP of Mexico? If MX2 should go Herlings's way, MXGP seems more open. Nagl looks in great shape, so my top 3 Nagl, Fevre, gajser
