The white composite subframe with only 2 lower fasteners is cool. If that's what it really is and isn't just hiding an aluminum fabrication under there. I doubt that though. The lower black radiator guard side panel section kinda reminds me of a few of the earlier Italian Huskys. I like the cut of the orange plastics too.

I really like the composite subframe on my FE501. Its well thought out. It takes away vibration like which happens in a tuning fork at the right frequency.
Stock 2016 Footpegs for the bike pictured must be on backorder already like my Factory kicker set up for my 2015 FE 501.

If that's the style of the new huskies my next one might be a KTM or a Sherco! From a practical side those side plates are either going to be hard to grip or look horrible after a couple rides and probably spendy if ya break one I'd guess.
The article I just read made it sound like it was a factory edition KTM with different styling. I think the husky went from best looking to worst in a year if this go's through!

Same engine is used here in the GS 650 BMW but the cylinder head looks a bit different and the BMWs cams seem to appear to be closer to one another. Lower end of the engine seems to be the same. Maybe the Husky pictured is a bigger bore, hard to really tell though but could be a larger displacement engine and the heads are a different design. Basically the same though. bmw-f650-gs-viva-la-merkel_hd_23920.jpg

You guys kill me.... who gives a crap if it "looks" heavy? I'm glad the brand is still around and looks like its seperating itself from its orange brother..... and who uses stock graphics anymore.... $200 and any bike looks completely different....

On the other side it looks like a cagiva..... and personally it looks bad ass....

I personally wish they would take some of the technology out of the off road line but i know that isnt going to happen since everybody wants what is winning on Saturday nights....

I'll take a TE300 without e start, single cartridge or even open forks and no traxx shock.... lol

More people then not uses stock graphics. It's great that these bikes come with molded in graphics. Don't peal and much easier to cover if needed.

No e-start on a 2t maybe but why?? KTM's are not known for good e-starts so removing dead weight might be a good idea.

If your bike is jetted right and maintained right it is not needed..... I start my bike 2 kicks cold and 1 hot every time.... Why have an extra 10 pounds on there and another thing to fail and screw your ride up....

Here in the Indiana Ohio Ky area when I'm riding or racing I bet less than 10% of bikes have stock graphics.... I agree I like the molded in stuff....

Racer/racing makes up to 15%+/- of total bikes sold. You as a racer have perfect jetting and maintenance while the many many others gas and go which makes e-start a good option. For you it's better to remove it then many others to struggle without it.
