Don’t forget the Russian vodka too. I just purchased the chocolate from Russia filled with Cognac and vodka. Yummy. The milk chocolate from Sweden and Norway is excellent too. Ever hear blind drunk doesn’t matter what she looks like. Lol

They never died but are expensive and older 2t technology and who knows what the parts situation looks like. Maico and atk make a 700 2t in limited quantities. No crystal ball needed to see that big bore 2 strokes are out there.... with no e start, no efi, no parts support, and with a steep price tag. I like to ride mine not wait for parts. Hence the reason I bought the 2015 te300. To much down time waiting on parts for the swedes I have so I keep those for the occasional ride and beat on the new one. The 300 is fast enough to keep me happy.

Oh come on when I mentioned about the return of a 500cc cr bike you guys jumped on me and said no way it would happen. Looks like even the new company just starting up is jumping on the band wagon. Go husagren. Lol

Probably Honda and Yamaha would support there 500cc bikes with parts better, now if suzuki comes up with there rm500 again. Let the bash me begin. Lmao.

Your right about the parts support. The mom and pop old husky dealers did keep us alive with the Swedish iron for decades.

I dont see the Problem for sourcing Maico 500 2Stroke Parts- these Engines should be very similar to the Zabel Engines used for Sidecar MX.

Might not be an issue in Europe. But wait times and shipping here in the states could be an issue if you’re doing more that trail riding. But yes, from what I understand the maico/atk engines are zable based.

I went to their website and they are looking for investors,I saw nothing there about a 500cc two cycle engine or complete bike. Maybe it is a facebook phenomenon. That picture looks like a screen capture from a smart phone. I am just guessing facebook.

Honda experimented with some activated radical combustion years ago it was in the 400cc area. As far as I know Honda is the least likely to do a two cycle engine. Do they do anything two cycle at all now even in their outdoor power equipment? There are cr500 engines in a modernish aluminum frame available used. Well set up kx500 bikes as well for sale.

I watched a youtube video of some guy going through all the ownership changes and various other changes for those zabel and similar with other label engine. You say 500 but they had quite a few other displacements. Beautiful case reed engine. I have only seen one the guy crashed but eventually I saw it was entered lately again.

Getting parts could be a problem. Parts wise the Honda or Yamaha might be the way to go. I remember life with no internet trying to find husky left kicker parts. I scoured the country. Been there once don’t want to do it again. Back in 98 the new husky parts were slim to none too. If I was a racer I’d buy two new bikes one for parts.
