    James Stewart? again? really?
    no Dungey.
    no Canard.
    Malcolm Stewart?
    El Hombre? Anderson.
    Josh Hansen, again really???
    Musquin-----Yes up front and gentlemanly in your face at the top of the podium.
    Roczen.......big big question mark. hats off to him, I really thought he was really really done after that mess. He still hides his arm and it for sure is deformed or more just not fully mobile. To me its the wrist that will tell the story.
    OK inmates start adding onto this thread, I'm sure there is a lot.

    right now I gotta go with Marvin. Good guy, but not my favorite.
    Eli- starts? he wins.
    Justin B's career seemed over... this may be the kick in the pants he needs to be on the podium.
    Anderson? I wish. hopefully he finds that spark, but he seems like a 2nd place rider to me now (like CR22 for most his career)
    CR22- 10th places... good for an occasional top-5 when he's pissed.
    Dean: fingers x'd
    Jeremy Martin- dark horse; i was impressed when he rode 450s last year.

    I always wanna like Josh Hanny. but just when he redeems himself (in my eyes) he pulls Alessi-level shit. I thought he retired 4x's in the last 10 years. he rode 250s back when they were 125s.

    Weston P keeps building speed. Impressive for a big guy. occasional top-5

    KRoc- I keep going back and forth. If he can get top-5s then by mid-season he should be the man- Driven. if not: it was a fast career.
    What's Baggett doing?
    Maybe Boggle. seems to catch fire.
    Seely is fast. he's missing something... but what?

    I’ll play.... my thoughts on 2018.
    I go back and forth a lot.

    I think Anderson has something to prove. Instead of 2nd and 3rd place finishes I see him on the top step a few times.

    Ely, like mentioned gets the starts he’ll be hard to catch.

    Marvin, he’s soooo consistent. Not my favorite rider but he’ll be a competitor for sure.

    Dean’s going to go back and forth from 8-10 to 5-6 with a couple podiums.

    Someone mentioned J-Mart. Watch him he’s a great rider that can produce. Maybe not this season but he’llbuild Strong.

    Bogle, don’t like him and never will. Lucky at best. Not the best for sure.

    Barcia, this May spark him. Might get a couple podiums but, don’t see him on top.

    Kenny, if he can get his mind into and stay safe he’ll be on the box but will not take the title.

    Ah, almost forgot Webb, I like this guy. Figure out the bike eyes forward and he’s going to do ok.

    1 = tomac
    2 = Anderson
    3 = Marvin
    4 = Kenny
    5 = Wilson
    6 = Baggett
    7 = barcia
    8 = Webb
    9 = sealey
    10 = tickle
    11 = weston

    I just rewatched the racing life of Barry Sheene........Roczen was FFFd up.....but really, Barry had been FFd up at crazy level more than once from the top tier and came back strong to the top tier. So that said the German can really still be a contender bent arm weird wrist and all.

    yeah, me too.... just like last year, where the championship wasn't decide until the last race. No drama there, while Eli was trying to get Dungey to make a mistake. Hell- Anderson took out Chad just to keep the excitement down. yawn.

    And forget the 250s- if I see another boring race where the championship is won on the last lap, on the 2nd to last turn, by taking out someone in 4th after coming up through the pack from near last place- I'll probably fall asleep. Did you see Osborne at the finish line?? Absolutely bored to tears (although some people might've mistaken that for an emotional release, after a decade-long effort). yawn.

    Sounds kinda defensive- enjoy your golf on tv. Turn the channel back to the SX every so often while you're watching Jeopardy (...the answer is: 2017. The question is: "what is the best SX season ever, Alex?")

    Seems like every year we get all excited about the coming season and the possibilities for some great racing. Most of the time we're disappointed but last year was cool. Hopefully we'll have more of the same this time!

    I've gotten a couple of glimpses of KR's arm and will be surprised if he's a contender. MM and JA have looked very fast lately and I still have high hopes for JA, ET and BB should be in it of course.
    Quite a few others could be in the mix, maybe someone will surprise us :cheers:
