the rally bike is absolutly a Latin flaired work of art!! I am so very glad for all the X-Lite folks that GAS-GAS now has the rights to that engine series!! ZipTy Racing has all the stuff you will need. I really like the exhaust route. may find they need more insulation but the route is great and out of the way unlike many rally layouts. OMG shes a blackhead again!!
Really truth be told what is the dry weight of a 14 gasser 200 or 250 or 300. I had a 12 and besides the rear brake pedal which they fixed and the heavy weight I really liked it a lot. The weight believe me is noticeable for a fast guy. As I got tired the bike would push me. Over shooting corners etc.... not to mention the pig was so heavy I had to drill the rear caliper to prevent boiling over the brakes. If that thing weighed 220 like a Tm or tc(two stroke) that's what I would be picking up.......
One thing I like about gas gas is they seem to listen and do try to be innovative. I am picking up my new 250 tc Husqvarna. Out of loyalty to the crown. I'm not very excited or sold on the whole idea. Truth be told. Reality is he new gassers even the non estart models are really to heavy. I love the ergos of the 12 and up chassis but really a 11 nambo with the 48 zokes would be the ticket as it is ten pounds lighter. Weight must be addressed. Even Tm addresses this issue and there own shock is lighter then the competition. I use a stiletto titainium hammer at work yea $250 and a titainium cats paw $85 because I want to cheat. Be competitive and smoke younger men. It all helps. I think back in the day I had one of the only gassers in Minnesota a pink 97! Blinkers horn stickers falling off when it came out of the crate! But hey it had a counterbalencer and was silky smooth! And in doing 2nd gear rollons would pull my buddies new yz 250! He was pissed The horn was simply hilarious... I have a soft spot have owned at least 7 or 8 of them and their engines were super reliable... I can't wait to see what direction they go!
You are the last one I thought I would ever see on a KTM. The new KTM/Huskys are very light feeling so you might like that.
The new husqvarna/ktm are simply Ktm... for me husqvarna dead two years ago... also the 250/350 4s engine is heavier than xlite. The heart of the best husqys is now on a Gasgas... The Xlite 2013 gets new injection, new head, new starter, more durable parts... The 2012, in my opinion, is one of the worse GG ever... but the 2015 Gasgas Xlite 310 will be the best GG ever, sure... New lighter frame, new reiger & Marzocchi shox, excel rims, espectacular design... Gasgas Xlite 250/310 will be the first enduro 4stroke GG in Usa, South Africa, Australia... that's great!
I decided that about ~3 yrs ago ...So far so good with my bikes ... Now,, can anyone explain an actual route the parts might take to (1) be made, (2) get onto a shelve that might help the usa customers?
Not X-Lite, but Italian Husky motor surfaces in SWM: http://www.vitalmx.com/forums/Moto-Related,20/ex-Husqvarna-returns-as-SWM,1277652
I understand. And it seems strange to me. Halls has helped me out for over twenty years it is nice knowing I can get parts service and tech tips and a discount. Of the recent ktm's I rode I gave fair reviews . It was easier for them to kill a cub now. And I could talk for hours on how the tables should be turned the other way...but its not. The crown at least lives on whether real or not. I will give it a try. But really truth be told had I not already sent my steering dampner along with a nice deposit I may bail and grab a Tm or???? But its done. They are slightly different at least. We will see. If I don't like it I'll take a $1500 hit and stay at work longer and get my credit card out and grab something else. But I will give it a fair try. They were rivals forever and there has to be a loser. If its junk it will be gone asap. But reality is if your in business today your fine! And hec I didn't have a bike for a minute and all my buddies were coming up to ride for the weekend so I bought a 99 Suzuki RM 250 for $700 bucks. Ha ha no hand guards nothing. Smoked all my buddies. So a guy can really make anything work! Even 4cs forks. lol....
Another pic of Gaser Xlite... Xlite 2013, the most compact & the lightest 4s engine in the market (22kg), awesome:
Barragan, the best spanish Mx rider, joins Gasgas enduro racing team (O.Pons), but he will not ride the new Gaser Xlite... He will compete in E3 class in EWC FIM, riding the GG EC 300 2 strokes... Any pro-rider will compete next season with Gasgas the AMA GNCC or Enduro?
