Can anyone confirm the compression ratio of the 530 kit? Is it speced on any of the paperwork that accompanies the kit?
and what is the ring end gap spec on the 530 kit? Help I don't know what I'm doing.. Do you know the octane rating required for this kit?
unfortunately we get what you get. With NO info. It sucks, wish they were a little more on the ball with this stuff. Ring end gap would be the same as your 510 i would think.
Is the ring end gap available in the husky repair manuals? I've looked in there! Trying to find it for my 250 and also the 300 kit I got for cheap to put on it.. Would be nice to know for other models too
Is the 530 kit a two ring piston where as the stock 510 piston a three ring? Also I'm not sure how ring end gap for the 510 bore would have any relationship to the ring end gap on the 530 bore.. Maybe the workshop manual for the 530RR would be a better resource for appropriate ring end gap spec.

2 ring piston like the TC pistons GREAT kit. Gives you a lot more torque. If you're due for a topened rebuild or just have money laying around, this is a fun project and very beneficial
Just checking in to report my 532cc kit is still running strong with almost 2000 miles on it... and 7500 on the bike. I assume with 2 rings only you free up some power (less parasitic drag) at the cost of longevity... can the rings be sourced separately or just get a new piston w/rings? I don't plan to tear it down until next winter at the earliest but the 2 ring comment reminded me I wanted to know for future maintenance planning.

Husqvarna 510 smr 2010: Valve clearance (with engine cold) Intake .................................................. ........0.004 ÷ 0,006 in. ( 0,10 ÷ 0,15 mm ) Exhaust........................................... .............0.006 ÷ 0,008 in. ( 0,15 ÷ 0,20 mm ) Is it the same valve clearance at 530 kit ?
How much more are the rings/head gasket for the 300/530 kits than the standard 250/510 stuff? I'd like to get some spares later on for the 530 and Ill need 300 rings and head gasket for another engine as well
