Honda made the MR175 from 1975 to 1977, never an MR125. They made the MT125 & MT250 for a couple years then stopped making the 2 stroke dual purpose bike to concentrate on 4 stroke development. The MR250 was only manufactured in 1976 but they made far more than they sold. My MR250 was purchased as a leftover in 1977 for $850. My father was irate as he purchased his in 1976 full price($1350). My MR250 was between my first and second Husqvarnas. I favored the first equal to the MR250 but the second was the best I actively rode. The 78 390ACC

Well I'm back been busy getting the engine pulled apart. The good news is crank bearings, cases and trans. look great. It was a dried and rotten seal on the stator side of crank so all new seals are on the way. I lucked out and found a thread on Adventure Rider on a tranny rebuild on 78 390, because when I split the cases the shift shaft came out with the right hand case. I didn't know about having the tranny in 4th gear to time the shifter gear. I bought a puller for stator, and made a case splitter pics to follow. View attachment 58277 DSCN0145.JPG

Can anyone tell me if the shift drum is in 4th gear and is the shifter gear in the right position? Not very good pics. but the best I could get. DSCN0139.JPG Real hard to see shifter gear in pic. DSCN0140.JPG

Well here is my finished rider. I know it's the wrong color, but my first Husky was a 73 250cr and I loved that bike so this is my tribute to it. DSCN0150.JPG DSCN0151.JPG DSCN0152.JPG
