Another thing you may want to consider if its looking for more fuel is a possible air leak.. Either reeds not sitting flat or main seal on mag side both will lean motors out and cause erratic starting using different throttle openings to compensate

I agree with the starting.. I lean bike over til fuel runs out, then rock it back and both in gear, put back in neutral, choke on, throttle closed and she fires 1st or 2nd kick cold or hot
