Bottom line many smaller differences between the 82 XC/ CR and the 82 WR 250 but biggest in why power is so different is the about 1/4 inch (yes a quarter inch) in exhaust port height. the XC/CR is almost 1/4 in higher, hence the more top end and more "finicky" powerband. The sleeve from LA sleeve is the XC/CR BTW
