Absolutely loving the pics and this project. Don't rush it, any chance you could make it last through the winter so I can see the sun now and again?

I didn't really do much this past week. I have been busy experimenting with a zinc plater I bought this week. Here's some of the parts I have done.

I actually got out of the house yesterday and played golf for the first time in a few weeks. Had a decent day and shot +3 = 75. Got home and did some plating and trued up the front wheel. I used this wood dowel with the front wheel mounted in the forks to get it centered. I put two marks on the dowel to line up the outside of the rim for straightness and up and down. One of these days I will build a stand. A friend of mine uses an old Yamaha monoshock swingarm that he swears by.

If you need to do something because you do not have the money and if no one will otherwise pay you for the time you spend, the cost of your time is inconsequential when you achieve your objective.

That is my story and I am sticking to it

Haven't done much with the bike this past week. Went camping over the weekend so I had to get my gear together. Had a blast watching this kind of racing for the first time.

Land speed racing is pretty impressive. Definitely a bucket lister.

That's a cool thread. Thanks for the link.

This Hayabusa did 252mph or 405.5 Kilometers per hour. The course was from a standing start and just over 1 mile in length.

This little Prius ran 202mph on Saturday and during Sundays run lost control when he shifted into overdrive at about 185-190mph. It barrel rolled a couple of times and then went end over end numerous times. The driver survived and is in good condition in the hospital.

A Prius doing 200 mph? Now that's crazy!
How the heck did he do 200 mph? It must have a gas V8 motor in it.

Those things are built like a thin tin can, I'm glad he was able to walk way.

The whole car has a complete tube frame and the safety factors are why he wasn't killed. I don't know what he has in it as far as a motor but it was not a V8, it sounded like a slot car.

There was a streamliner out there with a 1923 Model A flat head in it that clicked off 187 MPH, or the old 650 cc Honda car with a Huyabusa stuffed in it that did 197 MPH. Simply amazing IMO.

Thanks for showing your build! I for sure will use some of it for reference points for my 82' 430. You show some excellent pictures and show your patience to do a good job.. Excellent!

Sorry Chayzed for ranting on your thread but....It's actually a Pro-Form BUT.....the quality was SO bad I had to get every single weld re-run. There were visible holes! And it gives the bike a real flat spot before the power comes on. So, sorry to disapoint but can't help :(

OK, back to the Husky stuff. I picked up this one the other day. It's pretty rough but..........we'll see. Cost me about an 18 pack of beer.

Last night I re-installed the chain tensioner. I took it apart and plated the springs and axle.

Whilst I was at it I took the chain guide off and clearanced it for the shock mount. I had to cut a half moon in it to clear the nut. Looks like it was made that way.

More to come this week, or later today. Who knows.
