    Hi
    Does anyone know where the Stator Plug / CDI wires go?
    Is the:
    extra White wire an Earth?

    And the others from the 4 pin connector:
    Dark Blue = Into CDI
    Light Blue = Into CDI
    White /Blue stripe = Coil +
    Black/White stripe = Coil - (Earth)

    Yellow = Lights
    White = ????????

    I was going to hook up a spare coil to the CDI I got today and see how it goes.
    Just not sure on that wire mainly.

    Cheers

    Damn,
    Now it isn't selecting gears properly.
    When I go right down, it seems to be in neutral,
    The rest of the gears seem to work,
    but it won't shift up or down sometimes, unless i shift the opposite way first,
    eg. up then down.

    I will check the shifter prawl bolt,
    as I have read over 6 examples of it causing problems,
    but is there anything else it can be?

    Cheers

    Hi,
    The More I check the gearbox out, the more it seems like just 1st is a problem,
    If so I will just gear it lower and ride it as a 5 speed for a while.

    Does anyone know where the white wire from the CDI on a 95 - 2010 WR 250 goes?
    (It would take a minute to look if anyone has one, would be much appreciated)

    I have spark, got a coil from my local Husky dealer, it actually had a "yamaha coil", "MCS" sticker on it, under the Husky one.
    Engine is still a no go as yet, it still has the hone marks on the plating and is jetted a bit richer,
    but plug isn't really that wet, so will try some start ya bastard too and see if it fires.
    It has tried to fire a few times, mainly after giving it full throttle a few times before kicking it.

    Anyway thats where I'm at now with it,
    will try to start it again tomorrow.
    Cheers

    HI,

    Send your stator to this guy http://www.smallcoilrewinds.com.au/. He does an excellent job and is very helpful.I have had two Koken stator exciter coils rewound by him. Fixed my intermittent lose of spark and subsequent difficult starting/spark plug fouling.

    Cheers.
