Happy to finish fourth after days of drama which included smashing the oil filler on a test on day 3. This meant riding for 1 and a half hours with no gear oil until I blagged some from a fuel station en route. I stuffed a rag in the filler hole til I got to the next check where the top of a fuel can turned out to be the same size! Managed 2nd in the final Moto to get me back up to fourth.

Andy.. I heard a wild story that you may have been unable to pay for the oil..??

Yes! I had no Aussie Dollars in my bumbag, so had to persuade the lady that my credit was good!!! We did go back and pay her at the end of the day to restore her faith in motorcyclists though....

It is things like this that make adventures more memorable

Cant wait to get home on the 15th to 8 degrees C and rain.
