Anyone try the new VP 94 Octane Small Engine Gas? Pricey, but 10% Ethanol Gasoline is tougher to jet for than old MTBE gas.

Ok. I order one tomorrow. It seems that everyone is so positive to it, so i give it a try. Who is the cheapest and best to buy from? I want it with the JD needles and maybe a power one insert too. Anyone got a phonenumber for me? It needs to be delivered to Sweden too! A PWK 38 Airstriker it will be!

Do you have part number for Power Now for 38mm PWK Air Striker?
    Thanks

New style TMX, you can change pilot as well as main jet through drain plug hole.

I'll be putting the PWK on my WR125 this week as soon as I get the needles. Will the stock throttle cable fit without any issues?

    Thanks-

You can change the pilot on the PWK without removing the carb. You do have to remove the float bowl though.

I have not found the pilot to matter much anyway on a 125. With the air screw you can fine tune also.

    Woodshottie,

The stock cable works well just remove the curved cable holder off your TMXX and install it on the PWK. It makes taking the top off slightly more difficult but not really an issue. Just adjust the cable holder so it has enough room to unscrew the top.

I just had two big days of riding and also not happy with bikes carby performance. On the tricky hills you have to be fully committed ( flat out) and if you have to stop due to someone falling in front of you it wouldnt pull a hill start. (Embarrassing and hard work in the heat)
Seems to have trouble getting into the band and then when it is it goes hard .
Seems to be a lean bog but then at other times seems too rich and not clean.
Id try a carb swap but I think It also needs some more cubic inches

We ship international all the time if you want one. Might check a local dealer first though as the PWK should not be real uncommon.

My bike (wr300) does this with the stock mikuni carb too. :excuseme:

It does seem to be a little more sensitive to AS adjustments, or maybe the 2nd needle clip is just a smidgen lean for morning desert temps (30's and 40's right now).

Yes, i guess there is no problem to find the carb here, but the price for a new from you is about the same as the price for a used one here, and i want it with the JD kit in it. What´s the price incl. delivery to Sweden from you?

$235 for the carb with JD jetting stuff (two extra jets of both the main and pilot and 2 needles) and about $25 in shipping. Also figure whatever tax and customs on your end of which I have no idea what they hit you with there.

    Thanks.

    go for it johnnymannen!

I'm curious to hear how folks like it that didn't really have any major problems with the mikuni on the 300.

Ride buddy Adam did the PWK swap on his 07 WR250 that ran fine. Got the carb cheap from another friend. Does in fact work better, especially on the bottom and mid and gets a little better mileage as well. A lot less temperamental than the mikuni as well. I rode it both ways and it does run better / more consistent. Not as noticeable as on the 125's but similar improvement.

What slides are you folks using in the PWK 38 125s?

Thanks! That probably just sealed the deal for me to buy the Motosportz package instead of trying to rejet a cheapie used PWK that is available locally. It has a 5.5 slide, and the slides aren't exactly cheap. Turns out to be very close pricewise--might as well get a new carb and help a Husky brother at the same time.
