KTM NA is having sales meetings here in the next couple of weeks. Some word on distribution may come out of those meetings. May I said, so far KTM NA will not acknowlege anything with reguards to Husqvarna.
I think the "transition period" with BMW is until the end of May. Maybe there is a gag order on talking about the future until KTM 100% officially takes over?
Fred said Husky NA Corona could be done as early as tomorrow and would transition to KTM USA then....
Fred still has his job, until the transition to the new KTM USA run Husky. He has not been offered a position in the "New" Husky USA.... Fred is going to help his dealers sell Huskys and race Huskys until he's told to stop.
I think that rumour has been squashed. I have talked to a few guys who work for HNA and they sure dont know anything about the Corona offices closing?
In these types of deals there is not going to be a friendly heads up I don't thing. Slash and burn unfortunately as we have seen already.
Husky Reps were told at the meeting in March, at KTM USA Headquarters in Murrieta... That Husky NA was done in 60 days, with a possible 30 day extension. It was not made clear if this was calendar or business days... It's about 60 days out this week. It's still an assumption, but it's hard to believe KTM pay the rent over in Corona, when Husky can be run like Husaberg, out of KTM USA Murrieta, with a few offices and data lines... Jon Erik wouldn't have to leave the premises to run Husky.
Such an arrangement also leaves open the possibility that some of the folks in Corona could be retained and commute to Murrieta. Some of this depends on how much appearance of independence they want to project, as opposed to operational efficiency. These details help tell the story of the future, but I doubt that all such decisions will be consistent. Moving office space around in fairly cheap in the grand scheme of things, and who knows what the timing and terms are on the current spaces.
AGAIN!! NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING ! AND ALL IS JUST RUMOR AT THIS POINT. Walk softly carry a big stick and believe NOTHING till you see it with your own eyes! And look twice to be certain
