I'm familiar with husqvarna-parts.com and the displacement decals, a few other sites such as DC plastics have similar stock. I've ordered from husqvarna-parts before (also Huskydogg, where I have a pending order right now, penton, hva-factory, machinist friends, machine shops, amazon ,ebay, and others).

I have on a small number of occasions seen pictures of decals showing the WRX Model, here's an example:
    ModelDecal.jpg
If anyone knows where I might find a similar (i.e. "400 WRX") decal, I'm all ears.
Based on what appears to be masking tape to the lower right of the airbox, I wonder if that's paint on rather than decal. Maybe I just need to get creative with an air brush and masking tape.

Justintendo, Nice Ride! I suppose it's no surprise that guys on a Husqvarna forum would be into fast road bikes too! For me, I just like to sit up behind that Vetter faring in my leather jacket and bowling-ball 3/4 helmet, jam some 80's rock and ride around looking like something that just rolled out of a time machine.

Suprize, is Phil Dyno Port or another site?
Also, I noticed that Husqvarnaoutlet.com does list both pipes, and pipe restoration. A local co-worker/biker and I were talking, and he knows a local machinist/welder who he thinks might be willing/able to take on my pipes, so I may have the pipes covered (well at-least getting the WR repaired).

I'm not sure if he's back in business but he did answer a part enquiry email I sent him yesterday, and mentioned that he is in Brazil until Friday.

The person responding to my e-mail is named John (used to be Steve B). As ajcmbrown noted, John is responding to e-mail, and gave me availability and price quotes. I have yet to receive parts (or an invoice for that matter) from John, so I cannot speak to the current buying experience, but something is better than nothing.

The e-mail address has changed, so if you are like me and have Steve B saved to your contacts, you'll need to head out to huskydoggg.com and grab the new address.

I have the 400WRX decal that came off my air cleaner when I first removed it. I am going to try to scan it sometime and try to get someone to replicate the decal. I want a decal thin enough to clear coat over to protect it. I may get creative with an airbrush myself as there apparently is not a high enough demand for them for someone to make money replicating them

Phillip at Husqvarna-parts.com may have them as he has more than what is posted on his website. He is likely on vacation but then he usually has on his home page that he is closed for vacation for a time spread. Phillip will take orders for Dynoport and is an outlet for them

I'm not sure about 'savior', I tend to think of myself as a fool who is better at letting go of my cash than the devices of the folly of my youth.

So, this fool spent some $$ today. Picked up the restored Ohlins for both of my 400's from my local Ohlins Authorized service shop.
    ohlins.jpg
For any Pacific Northwest residents out there, the shop is KFG Racing Inc. in Auburn, WA, I feel they did a good job, about $375-us per shock.

Still waiting on a few parts from various sources (for those who were asking earlier, my Huskydoggg order is in the mail!).

    Open items:
Waiting to hear from Evo MX on the WRX airbox decal (sent an e-mail today), if I hear anything worth sharing, I will post accordingly.
I still do need to pull the reed cage to see where I'm at on reeds. Any strong opinions on the two-piece manifold from husqvarna-parts vs. the V-force assembly from HVA-factory?
    Shifting
I started another general thread on exhaust, Please take a look (it's under Vintage/Left Kickers) if you think you might be able to confirm whether or not the exhaust I received on the bike is the correct exhaust.

nice choice getting the shocks serviced. sometimes its easy to take for granted these came factory with ohlins...i fantasize about getting them for my streetbike, about 1100-1300 for a pair! so its smart money getting them serviced

Hey folks, if anyone has WRX envy, while I was doing some random searching for parts, I came across someone in McClure, OH, who is wanting to trade a 400 WRX project bike for parts for his dad's 82 WR 430.

I have never used the site before, so I cannot speak to how you reply to the thread. Just sharing in case a WRX enthusiast out there has the 82 WR 430 parts/expertise and wants to try to connect with this guy:

**UPDATE**FYI, I've been trying to find a way to post to the forum and there's no readily apparent way. Also, when I pull it up on my phone, my virus protection stops me, so the site may just be click bait for a fishing operation**

He *claims* not to want to part it out if you look at the comments, and says that the dad's bike runs well and he'd like 'engine parts' plus a 'nice pipe'. I actually have a pipe that likely matches his dad's bike and is in decent condition (needs paint and could use a couple of dents pushed/pulled, but overall pretty good considering the age).
**UPDATED**Important, I'm starting to receive inquiries on the pipe, so if you reach out to this guy, touch base with me first to confirm I have not sold it**
