While my cousin and I were out riding in the desert we came across a small wash - I stopped in time and he didn't. He ended up breaking his jaw and loosing 6 teeth when he bit the kill switch off his handlebars. I never feel the need to wear an open face helmet no matter how hot it is. But to each his own.
see if you look at it too...I have done the smae exact thing with a full face...if you hit straight on the front its good...if up hit in and upward motion its gonna move up and down....
You are crazy or super lucky to be rockin' that set-up with no repercussions! I like the race set-up that you posted in the "What's wrong with this picture" thread much better. I used to use safety glasses instead of goggles because of the fogging. Yeah, I'm a sweaty bastard...buckets of it. I switched to double pane goggle lenses and I don't have a fogging issue anymore. I don't even race (you do) and I've eaten rocks to the point that my beak has taken a beating because of NO coverage. Hell, Jim took a rock to his eye (cut his eyebrow) when we were riding Baja and he was wearing goggles. By the way, the 2nd picture doesn't look like you. David
