APT SmartCarb

I got an e-mail this morning about availability of the 36mm in cast. Steve Tutt said it would be mid-summer before those carbs are available for anyone interested in wanting to save money over the Billet model.

It will only take me a day to do what I want and then I will send it onto Marc.

Thanks guys! I'd love to test it but we just got snow and ground-freezing temperatures! Oh well to be expected mid-december in Wisconsin! I think people's interest will be better served at this point with Walt testing it, I'd love to give it the Moto-shakedown when spring returns. We may get moto-weather again but it is impossible to predict, and I'm sure John wants to play with his carb, too! Thanks VERY much for the generosity, and considering me. Awesome.

Yeah weather sucks here today too it's only 70* . Kelly will send it on to Walt. Walt will put it to the test with spikes on if he has too. I've got a couple other bikes to ride so when things thaw out this spring send me a PM MotoMark36 and I'll ship it out to ya. Ok Walt, carb is soon to be on your court . Hey Walt don't rush; get to it when you can I'm good.

Gotta say, reading all these post's, it's like we're one big happy family sharing the wealth. Quite refreshing to see.

P.S. Kinda jealous there's no SC for the 4 strokes yet.

What size are you guys getting for the 125/165, 36mm or 38mm?

Based on the reports and that the smart carb will flow more than a conventional carb, I am going for the straight bore 36 to replace my 38 mikuni.

So you're going for the billet one? I don't think they make a cast 36 yet?

Yes, I am waiting for apt to contact me that the billet 36 is available. No word yet though.

I got the 36mm straight and that's what Kelly tested.

They are taking orders right now for the 36mm in the billet version, but as far as cast version... only 38mm is available for pre-order now. I hear they plan to put out the 36's early summer next year. The billet is a piece of CNC artwork though...

36mm Lectron is on the way to Kelly for testing. Shipped from Ruston, La via UPS today. Found a dealer that shipped daily. I'm afraid if Kelly likes the Lectron that I won't get it back and will have to order another. LOL.

I'm very anxious to try this carb out too! Maybe Kelly will let me tag along one day and give it a rip!
