I have to eat a little crow here. My Leo exhaust from the hard parts is in!! Along with some graphics I ordered. Maybe things will get better here in the U.S.

Glad to hear the positive input with your bike, Pete. Am also wondering if it could bring an 08 model further forward. I know this is not the reason for your post, but... Maybe you've heard of something for the 08's? 1st year of anything is always a large ?

    HI GUYS!

Thanks for the avices. I want to buy for my TE 450 08 , jut the silencer and the ECU . not complete exhaust. The local dealer made me and offer for 700 Eur. What do you think it is a good deal ? or should I thake the complete kit ?

Petem- I also bought the Arrow special parts kit for my 09' sm510r part # 800h2145 And I would have to agree with you it totally wakes the bike up,I'm very happy. It put down stock 51.8 hp/34.85tq @ the wheel. With the pipe, ecu and k&n filter it put down 53.6 hp/36.36 tq. Now it only made 1.5 or so more hp/tq at max, but from 2500 rpm to 7500 rpm it made 4 hp/tq all the way up the power curve, right out of the gate. Oh sure!!:jawdrop: Oh yeah and I lost 8.5 lbs to boot.:D

Glad to hear yours worked out well too!

I didn't get my 450 dynoed but I was guessing at around 3hp increase throughout the range and a little more at the bottom end. Since mine was only a seat of the pants guess I wouldn't have put too much faith in it, but it sounds similar to what you got so maybe my pants are calibrated better than I thought! :D

Well Husky do offer a full exhaust and ECU for at least some of the '08 bikes. I know the special parts catalog is on line somewhere because somebody posted a link to it in one of the other threads so you could have a look at it yourself, or if you say which bike you have I can look in the printed catalog I have here to see whether there is one for your bike. Of course I don't know whether it would have as much effect as it does on the '09 bikes, but I can't see any obvious reason why it wouldn't.

According to the printed catalog I have here, Husky don't do a silencer and ECU for the '08 TE450. What they do are:
8000H1248: Aluminium silencer and ECU for 09/10 TE450.
8000H1301: Titanium silencer and ECU for 09/10 TE450.
8000H1250: Full titanium system and ECU for 08/09/10 TE450.

So the only one they do for the '08 TE450 is the full titanium system and ECU. I don't know why the silencer won't fit on its own but I can only guess that the header pipe must have been different on the '08 so the new exhaust won't fit into it and you need to buy the full system including the new header pipe.

So if your dealer is saying that he can get you just the silencer and ECU without the header pipe, ask him to make absolutely sure this is going to fit on the '08 and find out what part number he's suggesting.

I'm not sure what the price of the silencer & ECU would be here, but I think somewhere between £700 and £800 Sterling so the 700 Euro price sounds as though it could be reasonable. It depends on what you normally pay for things compared to UK prices, as things used to always be much more expensive here than the rest of Europe but I'm not sure that's true any more.

I did check prices for the full system & ECU in a few countries around Europe before I bought that and most were the Euro equivalent of between £1,000 and £1,150 Sterling, but I'd want some discount off that price.

    Petem,

When you get iBeat connected, you should be able to get ECU info that may help in identifying a part number for the ECU.

    Please share what you learn.
