    Might pay to check the lengths of the springs under load prior to installation, looks like the design of the centrifugal shoes being interconnected places the majority of the tension on the shortest/strongest spring in the initial stages of opening also any flogged out holes/pins might do the same.
    The weaker springs being under less tension may vibrate more hence the flattened wear marks.
