I fabbed a foot out of plastic deck board I had laying around, it's easy to work and is indestructable. My forks are set high and I needed more sidestand height. This has really cured all the problems I had with the side stand and now the bike can be parked virtually anywhere without grief.

    Hi,

    Do you both own 2011 310's (or 250), that's what I have.
I have had my suspension lowered as my feet are attached directly to my arse (almost) ;) so not sure that you wouldn't need to do a bit of modification to the length of the stand.

Let me know and I may be able to remove the bracket from my bike and try it on a new, standard set up bike at my local dealer. Then we can take it from there :)

Not sure what drama is, sure the stock stand is a piece of crap, I just took mine off. Put it up against a tree, fence or shed. I even lay mine on the ground, can't fall any further and its EFI, no flooding issues there.

Hi mate, I have a 2009 TE510 and I am pretty sure the mount point is exactly the same as the 2011 model. As for the height, I too have had mine lowered with a HL-1 Koubalink, but if my kickstand itself needs modification, I can just take that down to a shop -- I even have a spare kickstand -- so I wouldn't worry too much about that. I am really interested in the bracket itself.

Thanks heaps. I'm looking forward to a possible solution!

OK chaps, sorry but I haven't been able to try the bracket on a standard set up bike.

As I said the foot of the stand had to be cut and rewelded anyhow so I can't foresee any issues that couldn't be sorted at the same time.

Anyhow if you want one I am willing to make a couple more, exactly the same, and send them over. The only issue of course is cost. It would take more than a day to cut them out, drill, tap, weld and paint. I would have to charge 95 Aussie dollars each, including shipping. At that I am not making half a days wage but I am not doing it for profit (obviously).

If that is still of interest to you just let me know and we can arrange something from there.

I would be interested, but would like to see how it looks on a standard height bike (pics) before comitting!

Hi yorkie, It's a done deal for me. I am located in Brisbane, Australia so if you are nearby we might work something out (are you in AU?). Otherwise, let me know the postage cost and how you'd prefer payment (I can do paypal if you like). Thanks again for helping the cause.

    Hi Dibblego,
No, not in Aus, about as far away as you can get before you start coming back :), I'm in the UK, but that's no problem.
Hopefully I will get chance to make your bracket next week. I will get it fabricated, painted etc. and then pm you to discuss delivery arrangements

Hey all, Realize this is an old post but still relevant. I was riding my 2006 TE510down in Baja and my kickstand broke off so, now I have no kickstand. The bad news is that Husqvarna no longer makes the OEM kickstand and I can not find an aftermarket other than one that mounts to the swing arm, or even a used on ebay. After reading through this thread multiple times I am wondering if anyone is still fabbing a replacement kickstand or have any insight on modifying a non2005-2007 kickstand to fit?

    thanks!

Your best bet is to either make a stand or modify an older steel stand if they will fit your frame. Here's what I did on my 610 way back, and it's still good. http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/te-630-sidestand-mod-complete.22459/#post-199998

On my TE310 I made a stand almost the same but I welded up a top lug from plate steel instead of machining one. If you take the time you can cut the pieces with a hacksaw, drill, grind and have things welded.
