After coming out of the sand, we did some street and a good amount of high speed, rocky-dirt-road type stuff that would send chills through your bike and body whenever you hit a big'n! My eyes were huge with concentration and I'm Asian...think about it. This went on for a while until we arrived at Alfonsia's for lunch. Man was I ready for a beer and some grub. The view out the back was worth the every boulder I hit! When they finally put the lunch out on the tables, you had to watch your hands as you might loose a finger or two from the feeding frenzy. As you can imagine, everyone was really hungry and luckily there was plenty of food to go around. I wanted to get going soon because I stayed any longer I would have tightened up and needed a nap. Man...the views! Is that snow...ha ha. Our fearless leader! Blake was the most protected rider out there. Brothers in arms! Greg getting ready for a real feast at Alfonsias! A group well fed!
Back on the road and it's more of the same rocky stuff until we get to Coco's place. It was great to finally meet him and to feel his unbelievable spirit! From there, we broke into 2 groups. One was a little easier and the other was more advanced. I went with the advanced group and had a hell of a time keeping up with everyone initially. George led, followed by Blake, Jim, Nick, Eric and me. Jim was blindingly fast and I still don't know how Erik could get his beast of a bike to move so fast either! Hell everyone in this group was really fast and wanted to open it up a bit and they did! Once it got a little more technical, I started to catch up a little. We went down into a canyon, which was my favorite part of the entire trip! Coco's This a great video of JimO showing us how to do the water crossing! George decided to go swimming...with his bike. Hmmm...the bike took in water...doesn't look good.
We finally got to the Bay of LA! On our way back we were able to run one of Mike Kay's favorite sections followed up by the canyon we did the previous day...this is why I ride ! Water crossing video.
And last but not least, you can't come to Baja and not ride on the beach! I tried to take a little video and managed this. I am one happy camper...can you tell?
Nice pics F2Go. I'm curious, were you alternating between a good camera and a 5 year old cell phone camera or what? Some pics are quality while some suck.
Crap, I just got to work and the filter is blocking all the photos. I went to bed last night early. (mexican siesta)?? Now I have to wait untill I get home in 11 hours to see all the good, bad and the ugly. Gary out.

Good writing F2G, I have a write up halfway done saved on word, but it's well.....dull. Think I'll put it in the trash can as yours is much better and probably more accurate. I have no idea why I look so serious sitting down, probably thinking about work in a few days Muchos Gracias to George, Mike, Dean, Tammy, Eric, Brett, and rest of the motley crew for setting up and sharing this experience for us. Blake's Pop & Dave gave excellent support for the whole trip. Couldn't have asked for more on our first stint to "the Baja". Hope to cross paths again in the future, who knows, maybe up here someday? I do enjoy the desert more, personally as my bike is definitely more at home there. Good shite! I'm still tired from pushing the driving with lack of sleep and having to come back to reality after such a great experience. Baja Java breakfast rules!

Yeah, no kidding! Great place para desayuno...(I'm brushing up on my Espanol for the next trip)...killer coffee, huge glasses of fresh-squeezed orange juice, fresh banana pancakes (thanks, Lairpost!) Although, in all my 46 years of eating chorizo I don't think I've ever eaten it without tortillas. It should at least be an option...especially while in Mexico But yeah, we found a killer place by accident when Mike's spot was closed. Guillermo's in Bay of LA was great, too...unless you ordered the French toast The food on this trip was excellent! A huge thanks to Mike and George for setting up the meals ahead of time and stepping in with their excellent Spanish when things got a little confused. I wish I hadn't lost my glasses in the bar in San Felipe Sunday night, though... WoodsChica
