    BTW do you have a ABS version of the Terra? If so keep in mind that you are very limited in getting you hands to a higher position.
    (either with a different bar or with risers under the stock bar). The length of the brake tube cannot be enlarged and I didn't find a longer brake tube for the ABS version so far. Is is a mixture a tube and a multiple bend hose, what is necessary to connect with the ABS modulator.
    Or is there something non-selvemade availiable to enlarge the brake tube at the brakepumpe?

    I ordered the 1 1/8 KX High bars and plan to use a stock height motorsportz riser to mount it. Do you think the stock brake line will be to short for this setup?

    I'm setting up the bike with pro taper fat bars with ktm/suzuki stock bend. after drilling the pro taper mounts they fit great. about 1/2 rise. now i have to cut the clutch/ break lever ends off to fit the bark busters. a little work but those stock bars = crap. 1 get off and they were bent.

    Just upgraded my setup to fatbars. Use the inexpensive but very nice looking and super strong Trailtech bars. Rode it last night and really like the setup. Don't seem to miss the bar end weights.

    I agree with kelly, I don't miss my bar weights at all. I run the motosportz fatbar clamps and KX high bars (protaper.)
    Great set up, raises the bars an inch or two over stock.

    I rode several 650s at MotoXotica before purchasing, and some of those had after market handlebars without weights, and some had OEM bars with weights. Personally I could tell the difference and preferred the OEM with weights, but that is just personal preference.

    Here's a pic of the motosportz clamps (not the riser version - standard height). Jon, if you still need them let me know. I'm not using them, bought them as backup and never installed.

    Did they have wrap around hand guards installed? Wonder if that makes a difference. I just did a short ride but did not notice them missing at all. I did notice I liked the taller and less sweet of the bars a lot though. I have these bars on all my bikes though so I feel at home with them. Also the red ano mounts and shinny black bars in your face sure makes the bikes look and feel much more quality than the cheap looking silver painted crap that was on there.

    Thought about that, but it was at such low speed I do not see how it could make a difference. Even while not moving or at 10mph, I could feel a difference with regard to vibration.

    But keep in mind I'm really sensitive/picky on certain things, hence why some of your products are the only ones going on my bike.

    Got my new HDB hand guards and KX high bars installed last night, they fit and feel great! Had no problems with any of the lines or wires even with the ABS setup, just had to move the brake and clutch levers in to clear the guards.

    How do the KX High bars compare to stock in regards to height and sweep?

    Didn't measure, but maybe just a hair higher. Feels good for me when sitting still feels low when standing, but not bad. I really did it more for the strength, fat bars with those handguards seems pretty beefy to me.

    I'm thinking about going with the ATV mid bend for more height rather than use a riser. That said, the stock doesn't feel bad when rotated so the rise is perpendicular to the ground rather than inline with the fork. I will eventually make a choice and go with it. Either KX High or the ATV Mid.

    Does anyone know the specs or know where to find the specs on the stock Terra bars similar to how it's laid out on Pro Taper site? I can measure them myself but was just hoping to save some time if they were already out there.

    I failed to mention that mine have been bent and bent back more than once so I'm sure my measurements are going to quite skewed. I'll give it a shot though.

    Ok, so keeping in my mind my bars have been bent more than once and bent back to where they're usable again more than once, this is what I came up with on measurements (I've only gone down on the left side and bent the left side of the bars so I focused measurements on the right side where possible). I didn't remove the bars from the bike but I did strip the grips and controls so they were bare except for the mounts.
    A = 787.4
    B = 50.8
    C = 50.8 (these bars are flat once they rise so B and C appear to be the same)
    D = 171.5
    E = 69.85
    F = 235

    If anyone else has measured I'd love to see how mine match up. Anyway I'll use these numbers to help decide which Pro Tapers I want. I know I want taller. I'm thinking KX High.
