I picked up a pair of SG10s several months ago for around $350 which I thought was a smoking deal. Best boots I've ever owned...

I see that there are still plenty out there for what I'd consider rock bottom pricing at $335 for such a quality item. Here

    Pivot Pegz for sure.

As far as boots: Boots that I step in and either buckle or lace is what I use (Sidi Crossfires or SG10/12 or whatever). Never ever want 4 linebacker sized people in the ER pushing down on my chest again while someone pulls my boot off a leg that is broken in a dozen pieces.

I'd rather it just not be broken from a 10 mph slide and half of my ankle bone ground off.

You've never lowsided on the street in your vans, have you?

I use shorty boots for off-road, THOR 50/50. I think that hi top MX boots while protecting your ankle put more stress on your knees. I use knee guards and a shin guards with my 50/50 boots.

In case others may be confused, 'trainers' is a term for 'tennis shoes' (believe that is correct).

I like my hi-points, just took a new pair out of the box last month. The do not have all of the plastic that makes other boots hard to bend or feel the controls.

I've smashed my feet enough that I look for all the plastic as it really helps when smacking rocks. You can find good flexible boots AND protection.

Your out of your mind. A bike weights 30lbs but a irt bike weights 250lbs. Huge difference when it falls on your leg or ankle. Id never wear anything but full coverage motocross boots. They have saved me to many times.
