I had the continuity of the yellow/violet wire checked and it appears to be ok. There is a blue/red wire that also comes from the injector plug that does not lead back to the ecu. Maybe there is an issue with that wire? I brought the bike to the BMW dealer for further investigation and told him what I could and directed him to this thread for reference. I'm told by another forum member that BMW dealers have new software that can read our ecu's without the VIN. Fingers crossed! Any other ideas welcomed. Thanks!
I saw some complete wiring harnesses for a bmw g650gs that might work with a little modification. I'm pretty sure you would have to swap the dash connector. I would checkout washington pit posse store on ebay.
There is a complete TR650 being parted out in the classifieds section here. You might get lucky and be able to buy a complete harness for a decent price. Best of luck.
