I always tell people to look for used Husqvarnas if they are looking for a great bike at a good price. It will be the best bargain that they will ever buy.

In the past I always would ask about $500 dollars more for my bike than I wanted to leave room for haggling. Sometimes I came out all right sometimes not really. Now days I just put my price that I want, pics if I can figure out how to attach them, as much info as I can, and the word firm. If there interested they will contact you if not they really didn't want it anyway. If I didn't attach pics then I always let them know I will email them directly.

    Just my $0.02

A good, well written ad with a reasonable price will attract buyers. You need pics of the full bike (both sides) and close-ups of the engine, exhaust, and any aftermarket goodies included. Put yourself in the buyer's position... what would make you respond to the seller and make an offer. It's all about salemanship.

Huskies should be no more difficult to sell than GasGas bikes. I have sold three GasGas bikes without issues. You do have to be honest with yourself about the actual resale price. It's easy to feel that your bike is worth $$$$ and often it may be listed too high.

One method that works well for me is to write the ad for the bike with several aftermarket parts (consider it bare minimum). This is listed at a very attractive price. Then, list any extra items at additional costs. Make it clear what the extras cost are and allow the buyer to select from "bare minimum" version or the fully loaded version.

    Good luck!

I`m on the opposite end. I would love to find a nice slightly used Husky 08/09 TXC 250, WR125 or WR250 but can`t seem to find one locally. I can get a leftover 09 but not looking to spend that much money on one yet. I looked at a used 08 TXC 250 and could pick that up for $3000 but it needs some TLC. If he can get $3K for his 08 then Wadman should get $3400 easy. I wished he lived closer

Or you could just put SOME kind of # with your ad to stop people from just skipping over it. Telling us here does jack. You need to get some kind of starting point out to potential buyers.

Just curious why you are selling such a new bike that is so good? I absolutely love it.

Dude - I've got a mint Aprilia RXV 450 that I can not give away either! Exotic Motorcycles are of high value to those that value them, unfortunately the reality is that it is a very limited market audience. All of the Huskys i have owned I practically gave away when I was done with them. Just understand that is a factor you consider as a puchaser.

I saw your bike and bought an 09 WR 300 for alot less then you were asking. I just did not want a four stroke. I agree that Huskys do not sale for as much. Sold an 06 KTM 250 for about the same price as I paid for the 09 Husky. Good decision on my part, love it so far.

Dude, you are f'ing retarded if you come here and post a "I can't sell my bike" thread when your ad is just plain dumb. I mean, really......REALLY? R E A L L Y ?

    Dumbass.

May want to consider flooring it at Upstate Cycle. I seem to recall an 09 TXC 250 that was sold quickly a short time ago. If I can help, I may know some riders in our group that might be interested.

Wadman, you sold your bike, ok if I just close this thread?

For future reference, it is fine to occasionally delete an ad and put up a new one. Your ad is on page 3 of the classifieds. You could have added the price to a new ad and everyone would have seen it.

Before this thread dies, I thought I'd give it a proper "send-off" by telling everyone that our KTM 150 SX (almost brand new), has been for sale for 3 months on craigslist and I've had 3 emails from teenagers who can't even afford their next X-box game. Just adding some perspective. Husky ain't the only brand suffering in the resale market.
