Addendum: Woody's shipped all to San Diego and I re-shipped the new wheels, rear hub, 2 disks and ABS ring to the Philippines along with a Shim Kit, LED Lights, K&N 151 Filters, SuperSprox Kit, Bell Barricade Helmet, Olympia Dakar Vented DS Jacket, Forma Adv Boots +,+. As for the the Bash Plate, it came off my 1998 KLR 650 (purchased in Colorado Springs May 1999 & I have it here with 10,178 miles) if I remember it was a Moose Unit for like $56? I just adapted to the Terra. FYI, the KLR was crated in Colorado Springs and went to Denver, then via Air Freight to Munich and then Jeddah in Saudi Arabia for $ 1,078. Used the KLR for 7 months in and around Taif (2 hrs East of Jeddah) then my contract ended and the Defense Contractor shipped me, Margaret the household goods & the KLR to the Philippines. WHAT a DEAL! Regards to All, Chris
Hey Chris, thanks for the informative reply. Much as i'd love a set of Woody's super laced. I've got a bit more scavenging to do for that dosh. Thanks also for putting that quote for air freight up here for folks to see. I once did a big overland trip many moons ago. Good to know that air freights still a viable/affordable persuit. Safe travels!
Hello All, Please be aware that the shipping (Ground & Air Cargo) amount that I paid (Colorado Springs-Denver to Jeddah) was in May 1999. I believe? there are more FAA / Federal Restrictions in place now and it would cost more nowadays. Hope to sell my KLR next month so I can add some camera equipment. Regards, Chris
G'day Aquatic, I am very interested in purchasing a case saver for my tr650. Hopefully you still have some left. Regards Philberto..
