    This and other similar threads helped me out so I thought I should share.

    I machined out those annoying shoulders in the linkage so in future if needed I can press the bearings straight out. I didn't do it on the forked arm of the linkage as it would leave only 2mm of material.

    Fitted grease nipples slightly different from Picklito, and also in the forked arm.

    Used the HK2016-AS1 bearing in the lower fork.

    I didn't put grease nipples on the swing arm because I couldn't find a decent spot to access them or to prevent them breaking during use. Instead I butted up the 2 bearings together then added a seal to the outer side of both outside bearings. A bit of extra insurance against those small seals on the needle bearings.

    Hi there i have a 2013 TXC250 with Grease nipples (Zerks) fitted by previous owner, unfortunately the front linkage nipple has broken off and the bearing has alot of play so i need to replace, does anyone know the bearing size (8000 42781) and seal size (8000 130241) before i strip and measure to save time so i can order today, many thanks

    UPDATE.. FOUND ALL DATA ON 2010 FICHE AS 2013 DOESNT SHOW...SORTED

    My 1998 TE410 has zerks and I have never had any trouble with the swing arm bearings, I grease them once a month. The bike had over 8000km before the speedo broke 4 years ago.

    Well... Decided after a year, 1,500 miles and a deep water swim I'de see how the '13 310's pivots and swingarm bearings looked. Tore down tonight and only slight issue was the nut behind the rear shock but lifted the tank a bit to get a wrench in and all came off easily. All bearings look good and were greased well it seems. Clean all up tomorrow and re-grease and button her up. :thumbsup:

    I am trying to figure out the torque figures for the linkage. The Service Manual lists the swingarm pivot (90.3 ft lbs.) and shock (38.6 ft lbs.) clearly but hard to decipher this table for the linkage bolts. I am assuming lines 3-6 are they at 80nm or 59 ft lbs.. Can anyone verify that? Much appreciated.

    I think it's 52,4 nm. I have Always used 50nm and it works fine. The swingarmbolt (the long one that goes true the Engine) is 122nm.

    I just reassembled my MY12 TE310 last night and re greased the linkage. I too was surprised at the abundance of grease in there. I added some more but was happy to see good lubrication. The steering head was also well greased. I expected very little from the factory but was pleasantly surprised.:thumbsup:

    In the rear shock? I had my rear shock done and it makes a funky noise. The shock works great tho. My susp guy said 'If you were deaf, would it still bother you?"--as in, theres nothing wrong with it. It just makes a funny noise.

    Make sure the rear spring isn't rubbing anything(if it truly is your rear shock). I noticed my rear spring had some paint rubbed off while I had it off for winter maintenance. I am reassembling now and will be very mindful of clearance.

    That what confuses me as the chart lists the swingarm pivot as a rear fork pin (top line), and next lines are rocker arm, rear fork. The 52.4 nm items mean 38.6ft. lb. so are the shock itself top and bottom fasteners. The rest of the linkage I have to assume are higher torque setting, and most crtical along with swingarm pivot. 60ft. lbs./80nm thus would seem appropriate. Also confusing is the bolts are 14mm and that size is not listed in the chart.

    If I recall correctly, the linkage assembly is the same as the older models. I believe I used the torque specs from my 2009 when I greased the linkage on my '13. I seem to remember them being better described.

    I don't have the values handy, but will try to find them.

    Funny thing is my '13 service manual pdf has a corrupted couple of pages... with the link specs! I torqued to 59ft lbs. according to the chart and my gut. RE: links I noted the rear link that attaches to the swingarm had slight side to side play and the rest did not in any direction. No binding and bushings looked good so all is back together. All is well after a noon ride and no side cover leak after re-torquing the side cover :applause:
