Some times those trees jump right out and bite ya. The radiator was still leak free, but without the guards that would not have been the case.

(not a husky obviously, but my bike none-the-less)

I just replaced my rads with the "sum yung guy" rads from China as well. My stock left rad started leaking from a seam during a ride last week and it was never even bumped or tweaked. I think I have the unabiker guards, which fit right over my new rads.
It looks like sum yung guy welded them but so far there are no leaks. They are the GPI brand ones. I paid $160 shipped and got them in less than a week. They actually came from California so maybe GPI has a warehouse on that side of the Country. I received an email from someone shortly after ordering and they asked if I would provide some detailed photos of my rads because they wanted to ensure a good fit. Nice.
I am convinced that there are some American brands offering these very same radiators under another name but hey, that's nothing new.
I actually read a horror story about a car guy's experience with "American made" Fluidyne radiators. Sounded like a real sh!t show.

After reading this thread, I got the GPI rads from China. 150 quid and arrived in Cyprus within the week.
The old rads on my bike were hanging on by a thread and were already pretty squished.

China ones fit great and work amazing. Strong too as I proper dumped my bike over the weekend a number of times and held up very well. No dents, nothing.
The main test is to come in the summer when it is 40 degrees C outside.:D

I bought some as my 04 CR125 (165) started leaking and both were trashed. Could pay $60 plus shipping for a used one off eBay or $90 for two new ones shipped. I bit the bullet. Well you get what you pay for. They look fine and will work but are not great quality. Comes with the cap. Core is odd, looking down inside the cores are one big core per (front to back) and not multiple smaller cores (front to back). Looks like it will flow a lot. Will not be much of a test on my 165 as it runs cool all the time. If they hold water and last it is good money spent. We will see.

Hard to see here but the left one is 1/4" out of square and came with pre-bent fins (cool I won't have to do that :D )

Great welds... if you are a 5 year old Chinese girl.

Billet looking filler is nice and the cap goes on nice and free (no binding)

Are they heavier? I hate to buy a bike because it may be light then load it down with more stuff than a dust bowl refugee heading for california.

It is a problem that we can have stuff shipped from China so much cheaper than it can be manufactured here. I can understand 30%, even 50%, but it seems to be more like 200-300%.
I think china is operating on a un level playing field and we need to get more efficient. I say that, but the problem I keep experiencing is raw material costs are so high doesn't leave much room for profit.

dont seem heavy, about 1.5 for the left and little under 2 for the right with cap.

dont get me started. there is nothing fair in this "fair trade" we do with them.

Well I wanted to hate them as to not promote Chinese crap but these seem OK. Mounted up good, rad guards worked fine, everything lined up nice. Time will tell.

I may be blind, but I can't find any on ebay with the spigots on the insides for less than 160-ish shipped. There are ones with spigots on outside for $85 all day long...

their descriptions are really messed up. I would send the GPI seller in Cali an email saying you want these. you know you have to get the older hose kit to run these too.
Hurry up and get that bike together.
