• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Cody Webb wins Tennessee Knockout

Great vid.

- Odd that no one ran trails tires in those conditions.
- who was on the FAR husky number 45 an minute 4:50?
- Cody looks kinda like Doug Henry.

I know last year they were taking knobbies and cutting grooves side to side in each knob I guess to make them act softer. One race tire though I would think.

Wow Sherco's WEC guy Planet in 5th nice, (which Sherco was Fab riding?)

He was on a 300 4 stroke. Supposedly they had an issue in the morning with it not starting so easily, but got it figured out for the 2nd KO heat. He was on Cody's tail for a while there in that one. Pretty cool bike.

Damn...this is just becoming depressing. I like this site, I do. But it seems like every other thread their is a fight somewhere. While I am not innocent in all this, I still hate seeing it tare a community apart. :(

As far as the TKO goes, good for Beta. I truly believe they have a good bike. Especially their two strokes, for first year bikes they really hit the nail on the head. I would personally love to try one of their bikes, but my biggest concern would be parts availability (as it seems I manage to break a lot of things). We have a dealer here in Maryland about an hour from me, I am considering going down there just to check out the bikes in person.

Beta is really a no BS machine.... Taylor Robert is badass, I would not wish riding a KXF450 on anyone in that event or any of the extreme stuff that Taylor excels at with his Kaw.
Nice mix of brands at the tip of the spear.....and zero podium Kato/Husa (wow)
Think about it 3 Italian bikes and 1 Japanese in the top 4, thats quite a change from 15 years ago or even 10.

To add to the think about it list, 3 Italian built, 1 Japanese built and 1 French built bike in the top 5.

Taylor rides a kx250f in these kind of races I believe. I think he only rode a 450 in the worcs. Maybe I am wrong but I believe he rides a 250 in endurocross and all of these tough/extreme enduro type events.

#45 was Nick Davis, shows up in results as a DNF. Hope it was the bike; he's been beaten up enough this year, guy is a hard charger but has the worst luck.

Looking forward to seeing the FAR team intact at the Unadilla round of the GNCC Sept. 8th.

The FAR Husky seemed to be one of the first bikes steaming when conditions got tough. There was a section called the Ledges in the second race of the day, where it was near impossible to get over because of the mud. Lots of bikes were overheating, but The FAR Husky started steaming quicker and more severe. A rider decided to take an alternative line and when the crowd realized what he was doing they started to scatter because they knew mud would be flying. I had just enough time to bend my head down and got hit in the head with a rock. Hurt a bit, but better then getting hit in the eye.
