    Well said Bob.
I had a 09 WR125 that needed the new power valve which it received from Husqvarna free of charge, along with a new exhaust. It helped, but the bike was far from perfect. I think the new spring kit and some major jetting will get it closer. It's in good hands now that "Poopy's" on top of things. The bike is light handles great will pass most other bikes out there if ridden hard and fast. I agree with Kelly it can be ridden "off the pipe" all day...if you are on relatively flat terrain. But any major hill climbs and you better have it pinned. I also could not get use to having to constantly shift gears trying to keeping it in the power band. Nor the bike singing all day long about 6,000 rpm on the trails. Before you make the plunge on "the little bike that could" make sure you at least try out a WR250 or better yet a WR300.
    I just love my EC300. But that's for a different forum.:D

In stock form yes but the way i have my bike running now it is very impressive. Will crawl up hills of the pipe all day long. NO mid range bog, excellent power bottom to top. PWK carb and the power valve linkage adjusted to the top and let it rip. Local A class Enduro champ rode my bike Thursday and was amazed at the power and how it lugged and he was riding a well tuned WR450 race bike with full ohlins suspension. This bike is a few tweaks away from amazing.

    Choices getting easier!

:thumbsup:Spent much of the afternoon at John01's place where he and his son graciously shared their toys with me. It was my first time riding a Husky and I was most impressed! I am really smitten with the 125. I'm going to see what I can do about putting one in my garage ASAP! I also really liked the TC250 and the TXC510. I was particularly surprised by how easy the 510 was to hustle in the woods and how manageable it was with all of that power. My thanks to John and John for the hospitality. It has made my choice a lot easier!

You wouldnt believe the difference adjusting that power valve linkage did. From the way I got it which was stock, to sliding a plate a 1/4" is night and day. I was at Vedder Mtn yesterday and while not quite Kamloops hills, there are some decent climbs and it made them all pretty easy even off the pipe. Or just a tap of the clutch to get the PV open and off it went.

Thanks again for the great bike!

Hey Rob, I've ridden Vedder before on my Trials there are some great climbs at the top.
Glad the bike is working out for you. We'll have to get together for a ride here one weekend. Maybe when you're down at Black Pines or something.

So David what have you learned? Also, there is an 04 or 05 CR 125 on this site for sale with bark busters.

He can get me a '09 WR125. It will take four days. He offered me a good trade for my DRZ, assuming it is in decent shape. I may pull the trigger tomorrow. I got a reply from Joseph and I plan to attend the next meeting. Did you see the video that I sent you?

Excellent thread. You old guys are gonna cost me some bucks. But no dealers in my area. Does anyone know if Upstate has a WR125 or WR250 in stock. Or some other quality dealer? Thanks.

Thanx, I went to the link and asked for information. Should I go, I'll invite my friend who has a beautifully restored '73 OSSA.

Congratulations on the new purchase. Harold and Dawn are really good people. Try to make it out to ride with us sometime at Harold's farm. It is really good single track. If you want to try it out in a race, there is a good race coming up on the 18th with a 13 mile loop. It is in Romney WV and is part of the Mdcompriders.org . Here is a video of the trails at Harold's farm. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mveVjMlyI4Q

David are you talking about comming out to Action Town for a work day Sunday after Easter? If so yes do it and you will be in the CVTR club that day and you can leave Action Town after the work @ 2:00 and start riding at the club. Just give me a call for directions to Action Town. Now are you for sure getting the WR125?
