The sale is simply a way to clear out the existing stock of Husky's at the HNA warehouse. With all Husky NA operations shifting to the KTM distributer it makes sense to be able to ship all existing bikes directly to dealers rather than forcing them into the KTM warehouses during the re-organization. This allows the new distributor to concentrate on shifting over the parts inventories and organizing that end of the operation to limit down time in availability. We are probably talking about approximately 1000 bikes or 10 bikes per dealer. What the dealers do with these bikes is up to them. I seriously doubt that there will be any more 2t's shipped to NA after these are gone until 2014 models. The 4T's are more up in the air.

It will be interesting to see what dealers do with the greatly reduced wholesale price of the bikes and not having to pay for flooring for ~1 year. I don't know that I would blow the 2T's out the door as it might be quite a while before you have access to a new bike. Who knows what availablility going forward will be on the 4T's. If you like the current Husky models it sure is the time to buy one.
Those are amazing prices. I just bought a 2012 TE310 for around 6k last week and feel that was a pretty great deal. On the other hand, there is the issue of delivery fees, and buying from a good local dealer has the advantages a creating a relationship that can prove helpful for later service needs, and keeping people employed in your region. These are less tangible, but valuable.
thats ridiculous!!! is that price ride away no more to pay? says US customers only, spewin, for that price & another grand maybe 1500 to get to AUS still a steal!
can someone do some research for me & find out what it would cost to get a wr125 shipped to AUS(will gladly sling ya some extra $ for ya trouble if it comes off!). jus showed the missus these prices & she said see how much it is to get one shipped here-nearly fell off me fricken chair!!! gotta strike while the iron is hot gentlemen
Have someone ride it a bit and get it good and dirty, crate, and ship as used. Save on taxes that way?
not too sure on import taxes over here. think we pay import duty or some crap on items over $1000. what would it cost to ship one here you guys reckon? $500? $1000?
No, unfortunately for me I was too keen and I ordered mine and took delivery as soon as they were available, which was a few days after xmas '12. The cashback didn't start till a few weeks after that. Spewing really, because on day 1 mine had a faulty ECU and was off the road until early Feb. I did talk to someone at Paul Feeney Group (Aussie importer) and suggested that I'd feel better about the 6 weeks it took to replace the ECU with $500 in my pocket, but the best he could do was a couple of free t-shirts which don't fit me and the accessory pack, the only thing of which has any use to me is the keyring.
Honz at Gateway BMW in St.Louis has a 12 CR on the web site for 4200 and a demo 12WR for 3200. They ship a lot of bikes so he might know about international shipping[/quote]
Do all the dealers get this deal? I was looking at them last week and it wasn't mentioned to me by the sales person. Just wondering if I should call the three dealers around me and start probing on it, I just don't want to sound ignorant. Any further info is appreciated. Thanks!
Kereams, all dealers get the deal. I will say that my dealer was not fully aware of it until I called and had them double check. If they balk at all, just go to another dealer. These things are a super good deal right now, get one while you can.
As always, it is more complicated than "all bikes instantly get $ off"... Might want to probe for some of the BS the dealers would need to go through to take advantage of these new 'rebates'.
Yes price incentives are offered to every dealer, but the bikes in your inventory are not unless you buy more of them one for one basis. At the number of bikes in the wharehouse alot of dealers wont be able to get enough new bikes to equal thier inventory so it gets more complicated ,if your a dealer with only a couple bikes its easy if you already have 45 Huskys in inventory it gets alot more complicated because of this alot of dealers will not be able to give that huge discount on every bike. Most all the dealers will do there best but alot of bikes wont be dicounted or will have to cost average the discounts amount into thier entire inventory. Some if not all of the bikes are most likley bought up by now by the 100 or so dealers.Just remember this is NOT AS simple as a customer rebate on every bike. Some dealers get very sensative about program details but thats the story with out getting into every detail and anyone dealer or customer can contact us by phone or email.Honestly ,Im a very open person and just tired of so much speculation on everything going on when the simple truth is the best so we are all on the same game.We are all trying to work this this transition with a good attitude and great hope in the future of Husqvarna motorcycles worldwide.
