in the end gave up on the crush washer altogether & just went the red gasket goo. put it on this afternoon around 3 so itl have about 16 hours dry time by the morning, should be sweet eh? put about 1mm thick or so covering the face of the exhaust port flange & a bit on the side too about 5mm up sound feasible? was neat & didn't get any in exhaust. should be dry by the am ready to stick the new pipe & silencer on then go riding!$465 delivered for gnarly & pc2 silencer from riders discount in the states shipped in a week!

Sounds good just put springs on the expansion and put a bead in the joint all the way round to seal too but do that once you finish the ride and its clean and cold.

seal seems very good with new orings but ill chuck some around the flange anyway to appease you juicy gnarly/pc2 & yzf fender the ol 300 looks like she means business!
