My wife rides our Honda Rincon while I'm riding my Husky. The Rincon is a modded harescramble machine (that I use to race). She used to ride a Suzuki Z400 before I handed down the Rincon to her. She is faster than many of the guys that ride around here... I just need to convert the wife to riding bikes, and then I can buy more Husky's... I keep telling her that the 2 wheeler is easier on the body, but she doesn't yet believe me...
Camera is working very good but you need to work on the sound. How do you get better by riding slow?[just asking] I usually lead & let my Ashley key on me. Problem is I've taught her to brake slide too much & she sets down too much.[like me] But she does know how to pick her lines well & will try almost anything once, maybe twice.
My Dad started it all. But he had a broken collar bone, broken tib/fib in 2006 and has not ridden off road much since. He still does 15k a year or so on the street though. My wife also rides from time to time... My brother rides also. His son Dominick, my future riding buddy! He rides a RM65, the TT350 was just for fun. My brothers youngest boy Eldon. He is not really into it but is getting there. My brother and his wife just had twin girls in September, they will be riders also. Later,
A few shots of Cody and I together. We rarely ride together because I prefer trails and he's always on the tracks. Some vids of us in PA on the coal. Rare times when we actually do ride together. Sheridan Coal Banks, Sheridan, PA. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHPYvtKiOl0
Absolutely no one in my family rides and a good many of my riding buddies have fallen by the wayside, actually it's been the better part of a year since I hit the dirt and about a month since I did any Supermoto runs.
Nobody in my family rides or even thinks that motorcycles are any good for anything either. Sometimes I think that I must be adopted because I am so different from the rest of my family.
All those smaller CRF's need to get the "Husq-vonda" treatment until Husky does a mini officially. Guts can do CRF's shrouds Maier can do the rear fender and any white front will do.....Viola!
KYou need to get your dad out just once on a decent easy ride. I bet he comes back. That shot with the windmill in the background is great, Ijust wish it was a Husky.Looks like you are set up for a few years with your brother & his kids. Make it fun!
I ride with my husband and my dad. My dad got me into riding, and I got my husband into riding. For a few years, dad and I didn't have any bikes. I got the idea to get dirt bikes. I bought one first. My husband didn't really want a bike, but said that he would get one if my dad did. Well knowing that my dad didn't really like dirt riding, my husband was pretty sure he was off the hook. He was wrong. I found a nice used TW200, and my dad bought it. So then my husband HAD to get one. Here we are on those bikes: My mom even rode all over the mountains and desert with us as a passenger on the back of the TW200. She's 66 now, and still rides with us, but prefers the pavement to the dirt now. Probably our most memorable ride ever was a day after Thanksgiving ride in the mountains. It was a little cloudy, but I assured everyone that it wasn't going to rain. Well we ended up completely muddy, soaking wet, and freezing cold. When we got back to the vehicles I poured water out of my boots. I thought my mom and dad would never ride with us again. It was super miserable at the time, but made a really great story to tell later. I guess sometimes the most memorable rides are the most miserable. For a while my husband and I had a small collection of Trail 70's. Here we are goofing around on two of them, along with my dad: Of course now I have the Husky. Here's a pic from a recent ride. My dad's a cruiser guy at heart: My brother in law and cousin also ride, but I don't live close enough to them to ever ride with them.
Actually there have been a few times that I thought about getting in touch with you just for a quick canyon run in you're neck of the woods. I'm pretty sure that I buzzed right by you're place a couple of times.
Get them dirt tires back on and get up here. I just did a ride from my place to Hells Kitchen (Ortega Hwy.) and back across the mountain. 65 miles round trip from my door and a lot of fun. Get on over here! Sunday? You know you wana
