One of my favorites and a design benchmark at the time in my youth. Still is.. View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_s7rrG7oGw&feature=player_detailpage
I have to crash the party by simply stating that my '12 WR/CR/WB 177 is near perfect. I have waking dreams of a 2016 Sherco 300 2T for the faster stuff but for everything else I don't think it gets better than what I kick over every time I go riding. Will absolutely go everywhere any other bike will go and leave me less tired and smiling more than most everyone else. But then I am biased too. I need the smiles too as life is a shit sandwich right now.
Always nice to hear from you Walt. Has this "climate change" messed things up at the golf course more than usual? I still have my 09 165 that I love and don't know how it could get any better unless I lowered it an inch or so.
My 2014 300RR Beta. First semi low seat height bike I have owned. I'm able to ride it better for some reason.
I'd have to say my 04 decked out 165 and my 02 CR250 husky. For some reason I like those 2000-04 huskys. Love my AJP PR5 but these old huskys are just anvil reliable workhorses that just keep giving.
How tall are you? I thought I really wanted a Beta 250rr but when I finally got to sit on one I felt like it was too small to ever get set up for me. I know Cody Webb had no problem and he is close to 6'4".
I feel the same way about my 09 wr250. I keep looking for a better bike for me but I'm not willing to abandon the Husky that has been nothing but good, especially now that it's set up perfectly for me.
For single track and just plain ole usability, my 13 TXC310 was the best bike I owned. Love the current TE510 for the open fast stuff, loved the 07 WR450 for reliability and my old 79 YZ250 as I learned how to hang on with that bike. Would love to get a new 350 or 300. still wavering on which bike to get when its time to open the wallet back up. 75% single track rider and 25% desert at this stage in my life so i'm sure both will do fine.
