There is a huge demand for Hemp now that it can be legally grown it has caused a shortage of seeds. I know a guy in CO who had 200 acres ready to grow hemp and couldn't buy the seed because of a shortage. Apparently hemp plant fibers are among the strongest of any plant on earth.

I've got about the same amount of land here and have also looked into growing hemp. Like you said, seeds are a problem. Also not knowing what will happen with the legality of marijuana/hemp after the next election.

I believe the chords that the US military uses for it's parachutes are made of hemp.

Hemp used to grow in the ditches in rural Iowa, it was planted during war time for rope making and proved very difficult to get rid of until roundup was invented. It was so low in THC that you could have smoked a square bale of it and never got high. I never understood why it was outlawed unless it was too hard to tell apart from the THC potent strain.

How would MaryJane help with night muscle cramps? Anybody know? I been getting some intense ones ever since 06 when I did some major damage to my right femur. Usually when they hit I need crutches just to go to the bathroom, then it takes about 15 minutes of being upright(sortof), supported by the crutches before the pain leaves. Haven't smoked it in over a decade, but if it cured the problem, along with the hip & quad pain I would seriously consider it. Problem is , even if I have half a "J". It's lights out & bedtime for Bonzo(moi).
Has anyone ever heard of or experienced it helping massive muscle cramps . The resulting mind trip was scary the last time. I'd love to have something that'll ease the pain, hell I might even be able to run again if it eases the pain instead of just dreaming about running. I currently need a fistful of drugs for all that ails me. I hate taking drugs. This sounds like it could be promising. Contemplating on biting the bullet & give it a 2 month evaluation.

Just try it if it's legal and you don't have an addictive personality type.

    A magnesium supplement might help.

I've got one of them weird body metabolisms. If I take magnesium supplements, or eat fruits high in Magnesium, the exact opposite happens. Muscle spazms increased ten fold. I can't explain it, my doctor can't figure it out. my blood work always comes back normal & that I'm healthier than any 54 year old should be. Lately I've been reading sides effects for some of the drugs I've been taking. Muscle spazm's was one of them. That's just one of the many reasons I want to get off of prescription drugs, I'm not addicted to them, but when I have to have them, I really, really have to have them. But when the pain hits, my options are few. I've still gotta work, so I take what I have to take to get enough pain relief to finish a workday. I react the same way to codeine, any drug with codeine will be totally ineffective at their designed duty simply because they have codeine in them.

Interesting that getting loaded may help heal bones and I would like to give it a try were it not for the random drug tests that I must take to keep my CDL.
    As a side note,
hemp that has been used for thousands of years for making rope is way different than pot cultivated for maximum high factor and requires a different seed stock.

I am in the same boat. I have exteme muscle spasms that require me to Flexiril which usaully leads to an extreme prescription drug hang over. Last time I had an episode I rolled the dice and tried some MJ through a vaporizer and couldn't beleave how well I was able to sleep and all my lower back pains went away faster and no hang over the next day. Wish I could use it every time but since I have a CDL I can't.

Something like those fibers could give cotton a rough time ..Cotton makes lots of money in the south but is also very expensive to grow for the 6-7 months .. So that means you gotta borrow heavily and carry that load all yr till the crop is gathered and sold ... Bad crop and that money might be lost .. Its gotta be watered plenty also ... Plus the equipment used just to pick it costs ~> 200K? Then you gotta maintain that rig and every 2-3 yrs, you gotta spend ten-of-thousands of dollars for sure. This ditch weed could be heaven sent here maybe BUT it will have a huge, huge effect on farming economy and the overall commodities markets., We might not be ready for all this just yet.

Never saw a Romanian as far as I know .... It's John Deere or some other company brand I was referring to ... And I found an actual number on-line for a price reference .. Almost 600K for a picker ... With numbers that big on a single item that drives our economy, replacing cotton with this herb is not gonna happen over night if it ever happens ...

Farmers have always had FEDGOV support so they have plenty help I'm guessing..

All that info on the seizures is news to me .. Weed is almost like a new baby now and maybe it can evolve somewhat ~correctly but don't count on it ...

Here in NSW there's a case of the police against a parent who was giving an oil solution to their baby. It is severely disabled, I think minimal intellectual function, vision and hearing problems and extreme seizures. Apparently the medical system was aware of it because no western medicines worked and the long term outlook for the child was very grim.
Not a case of blowing smoke into a kids face but a desperate parent trying to help and found something that works. Of course we'd say legalise but then youve got a direct competitor to established markets, what you guys call big pharma.
Very sad in general that the drug has massive potential benefits and it is still illegal, treating addicts like criminals instaead of medical patients.

Mustard? Never heard of it being used for muscle cramp relief or prevention.Any special type I should be looking for? Any chance you have a link I could look up?
