Ok I have seen this question asked 2 time in this thread and it was completely passed over. I would like to know of some opinions on the efi after adding these pipes. Reason being... I am looking at a 2013 tr650strada, with 2000 miles on it. The owner installed the twin black slip on pipes, and he told me the factory computer will compensate for the pipes without any need to add a power commander. Is this true? I don't want to buy a bike that has toasted valves in it

That has more fuel added with the spoofer. Curious on this question too!

I've the single system & I think you need a spoofer or PC. I run a wukaking on lowest setting otherwise I get lean popping on deceleration.

I added the duals first with no spoofer at all, bike ran better than stock. (I never really had the lean stumble just not much grunt down low) Only had it this way for about 800 miles. Then a member here had sold his bike and gave me a great deal on PCV w/autotune. This really woke this thing up and runs great now. (touch wood)

I can't detect any change in power output. It really is up there when it comes to reliable power delivery. I'd be inclined to have the engine blue printed and balanced if I was interested in more power.

Fueling has not been affected. Still crap at low revs and excellent above 4500 rpm.

Heat - depends if the cat is installed .

The advantage is it is a rare opportunity to remove weight that is mounted high and to the rear of the bike. Noticeably more nimble and the muffler, being lighter, cools down faster. Handy when putting it on the centre stand without burning/melting something.

The down side is the cost and the quality does not seem to be as good as the originals.

I tried to contacting Staintune about availability of their system, left a message, never got back to me. You might have more luck if your interested in a high quality exhaust.

Thanks. Yes, getting weight and the spread of hot things down are real advantages in my book. The only wrinkle is what losing a can would do to throwing over some soft panniers.

I see the single system is available on eBay for around $600 which looks very good value.

Or get them now before they stop making em.

Fabricate a tube which can be mounted where the old muffler used to be. There have been creative fabrications, such as, somewhere to store water, fuel, fuel tank, camping gear, tools, spare parts etc etc . Can be removed quickly and easily when not required.
