At the gathering....I told Norm the new 2011 KTM 350 looks real slick and I was thinking about......and suddenly! Discussing the merits off using a rail road watch over a computer for time keeping P3 was on site with all the wares to protect your Husky...as well as take measurements for some non stock pipes as well as the new WR150! Some real fast guys from NJ (and some guy who can hold his own and works there) Either Drew is giving a plug for Trelly's or he just doesn't want to be seen with me or Rob...I think its the Trelly thing The MFI crew came up and flat out ripped! I got a trophy! I got 2 trophies! Sorry Rob....there is no trophy for 4th......the kid was faster....there's always next year! Fred won the P3 Sponsored "Special Extreme Test" Expert Class ....poetry in motion....fast motion that is! Drew Smith from W.E.R. donated about 2 dozen sets of goggles as door prizes for the entrants of the W.E.R "Grass Track Challenge". They were given out in addition to the trophies. Nice Touch! (except I got the Russell Bobbit orange ones!) (Note Fury taking a break after running like 5 straight 8 mile laps)
I realized in our little Husky World, not everyone would instantly recognize the man with the glasses. It's Rob Keith... The longest serving employee of Husqvarna in the US, in the Cagiva and BMW era. Rob has been with... Cagiva NA, Cagiva USA and Husqvarna US. He's done it all and worn every hat, from the top down. Part of the reason you ride a Husky today is Rob's hard work for the brand. I owe a lot to Rob for making the first Husky Gathering a big success with the full support of Cagiva USA. I was very glad that he took the time to come this year, even thought the top management at Husky US (At the time.) didn't feel the Gathering was worth its support. Thanks Rob and you kick butt on that '09 TXC250!
I agree 100%, but I was more curious where he got the shirt from (I may have sent him one, there were many sent, and my memory is not the greatest)
howd i miss this topic? great shots and stories. gotta love the spirit and folly the h-brand brings to the sport. good stuff guys, thanks.
