Good question, I never did bothered weighing them so I don’t have the answer to that

Two places come to mind that might be able to give you a better answer
This great guy http://www.cafehusky.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2118 might know and if he doesn’t, I’m sure the people over at http://www.highwaydirtbikes.com/HDB_Shop/ must know the answer

Now, on a little side note; just to make all our lives a bit easier, it is not necessary to quote a huge post just to ask a question or to make a comment
It makes the thread unnecessary long and somewhat exhausting to have to read or scroll thru the same post/quote over and over and o...well, you get what I’m saying

    Party on Wayne ! :D

Yeah, I hate that, too. How do you post a question so that only part of the referenced subject shows up?

    Two ways;

First you don’t have to quote in order to ask or answer a question, you just have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, there you’ll see the Quick Replay window; use it and just write the user name of the person you refer to, 99% of the time they’ll know what you’re talking about...

Second, if you have to quote a lengthy post just to refer to one line or two, you can always delete all but whatever it is in the post that you’re trying to refer too

I have HBD installed on the TE510 and TE250 and it took a lot of abused and still hold up well. Great product.

I have had HDB guards on my 630 almost from the time I bought it. I don't know what I ordered, just called and they arrived, and fit up perfectly. Is the 630 different than the 610? They are a terrific product and there is just nothing else like them.

Now, I would like to put them on my 650 Terra, but will probably have to go to fat bars to do it as the stock steel have a lot of rake and I don't think the HDB will mount very well, if at all. Tough call as I want heated grips too, and aluminum bars aren't supposed to be very good for that. Sucks too much heat according to Mark Sampson, and I tent to believe him. I have Cycras ordered, but maybe a set of Motosports lower clamps (if they are milled flush, not up/down like the stock? will work with the HDB. HDB does offer a top clamp in the pattern used by the Terra. Having the guards run all the way to the top clamp means that when you go down, the force goes right to the very strong top clamp, and the bars are not liable to twist, slip, etc.

    Hey there Kenneth
This thread was originated back in Feb of 2009
Sadly, in the years gone by, the worst did happend............they stopped making the 610 and 630

But, on a good note, my 610 still kicks ass....and so does my HDB prototype

I'm pretty sure the setup for the 630 is exactly the same as the 610
As far as the 650 goes, I'm sure it's just a matter of giving the dimensions to Paul at HDB and he'll hook y'all up real fast

I think the setup will be fine as I'm buying bars and guards both from Paul, pre-tapped. How can you go wrong? I did my own drilling and tapping on the 630 and it wasn't a big deal, but this way, it's all done. Just bolt them up!

    Keeping my 630!!!

Hi Kenneth, I want to install them on my TE510 but struggle to find out which parts to order.
So far I am quite sure on the 93x38/40 top clamps and the 2.5" lowers with 10mm bold.
But what guards did you use? KX high?
Did you have to do a lot of bending to make them fit?

Would be great if you could share me your ordering data if you still have it.

In an attempt to make it easy on myself, I ordered the HDB setup complete, with Bars, tuned inserts, top clamp, etc., all at one time. For the Terra, I had to use the KX High bars to get enough straight bar for my controls. It may not be an issue on other bikes, but measure to be sure what you need. The KX High had as much straight as any Pro Taper bar offered. I didn't have to do any bending at all. I think most Huskys have the same bolt pattern on the clamp, but you better measure to make sure. I can't remember the numbers right now. On both the 630 and 650 the HDB bar ends came fairly close to being perpendicular with the handlebar ends, but not perfect. It was close enough to bolt up though. On some of my other bikes I had to get out a big vice, pipe wrench and cheater bar to make it all work. Using some heat would have helped, but didn't have a torch handy.

You really can't call Paul at HDB as he keeps his phone no. private, but if you email him and say you want to order but have details to discuss, he'll get back to you. Include your phone no. in case he wants to speak instead of emailing. He's done that for me several times. It may take him a couple of days to respond, but he will.

Great, thanks. I thought I had to order new bars, but Paul let me know I can fit the HDB on the original bars as well. Many thanks for your reply

    Great thread.

To make it easier to find in the future, I will move this over to Common Topics, if you think this thread should be moved back to 'General (Main)' let me know why.

I've got mine on order, and have taken off the stock Husky deflectors in anticipation of installing the HDB units. My question is what do you do with the factory pivot bolts? Do you just reinstall the spacers that were pressed into the stock plastic deflectors, or do you need to buy shorter bolts from Brembo?

Check my photo of the parts that came with my 310. Assume the two bolts shown are what was removed when the defelctors were installed.
