[IMG] I installed an "ultimate" HDB hand guard kit on my 09' SM610. I absolutely love the look of it. It's the best looking kit on the market. I also like the top clamp mount design, as it seems superior to bar mount apps. However, here's a few areas that can be improved upon:

    1) The top clamp mount is in the way of the ignition (maybe cut the top clamp on the right top hand side to accommodate the ignition). Space is so tight, it now takes extra effort to insert and turn the key. Also, even a small key ring can no longer be used with the key to access the ignition. This is a huge inconvenience and dilemma b/c the ignition key is now more likely to be dropped, misplaced or lost.

    2) I can't see out of the mirrors. I'm guessing they're too limited (movement), lightweight (vibey) & small (field of vision). Also, the mounts seem too low & the mirror stems seem too short. I have other fixed perch mirrors, but need adjustability, so I ordered some new perch mount, adjustable (elbow & stem) mirrors today with the hopes of a final and complete resolution.

    3) The metal hand guards seem too close to the brake and clutch lever ends. (could be more "bowl" shaped to avoid ball end clearance issues).

    4) The hand guards (plastic) seems a bit too light, shallow & flat (could be more "bowl" shaped & dense for wind, debris & inclement weather).

Again, this is only constructive feedback and consideration for the next gen of ultimate guards. I mean, above all, I feel this gen is superior to any other hand guard app currently on the market.
