I rode with a guy last weekend and he had a vapor that said 52 miles and my garmin gcx said 47.5 miles. He pointed out that the GPS looses connections and doesnt account in the calculation of the up and down climbing on hills. Any ideas or theories on that one?
One of my Vectors started acting up and naturally it wouldn't screw up for them when they got it back. Justin even took it home and put it on his Yamaha for a day. Thought I got a bad battery. When I got it back it went back to its old tricks so he sent me a replacement. I'm happy. A Zumo 450 with US Topo loaded on it for dual sporting has been working good for me, but the new Trail Tech sounds like just the thing for offroading.
yeah I did. they are awesome and replaced it. That was my KTM. Been wanting a new one for my WR300 but been slow buying it as I have a hand held garmin gps now. Problem with my Garmin though is its cumbersome on the bike.
The response from Trail Tech regarding the Voyager on a 250 or 310 is that they haven't tried one for fitment, and that they only list what they are sure will fit. Looking at the parts catalog, I don't see any differences for the larger displacement bikes with regard to the mounting area, so hopefully that's a good sign!
I called and they said the main issue was the diameter of the radiator hoses for the sensor. They where waiting on schematics because the main guy at Husky quit. So I was told.
Interesting... I take it there's no rad cap option for the sensor? I'd also add that the temperature sensor doesn't seem like it would be essential. It's not like the functionality is lost from the stock display.
Well the parts catalog does show different hoses for the 250/310 vs the 450/510 into and out of the pump housing. Although, the pump housing that they connect to is the same for all models, so I wouldn't think the diameter would be different. Who knows?
