Maybe I'll have Eric take a picture of me sitting on it tonight so you can see how tall it is for me. Seriously, Eric estimated that both my feet are about 8" off the ground. It's probably only 6" though :D

For sure there will be some photos taken this weekend. Probably most of them will consist of Eric re-jetting on the trail, though

    Yes :(

I don't think it'll affect me too much, though, as the places I like to ride don't have red/green sticker limitations. Besides, in the heat of the summer I'm usually bike camping near a river somewhere on the 610 :)

By the way, I had Eric measure the space between my feet and the ground and it was, indeed, 8" exactly under each foot :o This oughtta be fun...

8" is nothing. Do what my 5' tall sister does when she rides the WR125...
the old one leg on the seat, bent at the knee at about chest level with the other food tiptoed on the ground. What a sight. But hey, she rode it all day in some pretty serious mud hopping on and off without dropping it once.

PS: now she wants one for her next bike (lowered a bit of course). Makes me wonder how well one of these bikes would handle lowed 2-3". Hmm.

Yeah, I'm pretty good at riding bikes that are way too tall for me...since most of them are exactly that. I just use the terrain to my advantage and stop where I can get my foot down. I will lower this one, though, so I'll let you know how that works out. I think 3" is pretty excessive. I've never gone more than 1 3/4", and that seems to work out ok. Internal suspension mods are the way to go. More expensive, but the bike works a lot better that way.

I'm sure this one will be lower once we get the suspension broken in, set the sag and all that. I can always let some air out of the tires

Man, I feel for you shorter folk on these tall bikes. I was bitchin about the 510 being too tall before LTR tweaked it and it's still on the high side for dabbing in the nastier stuff. I commend you gals/guys who have adapted to the designs.

Tami, Happy Bday and Congrats with your newest ride! Truly a testament for us taller younger people. You''re taking away our excuses for sucking, lol.
