According to my son (he is a Honda Cr250 guy) The reed blocks from 92-2001 Are the same size but in 99 they they upped the amount of pedals used. Not sure about fitting to husky though.

I know the spacer is supposed to to enhance lowend, but what was mentioned I think v3 where on newer stuff and might not fit. Have to compare the depth , can't see they'd change that though. Maybe you can jus eliminate altogether??

Now I just called Moto Tassinari this Tuesday and asked just that as the part number on my Vforce reeds is V301 and the Honda is listed as V301 A or B. The nice lady told me that on a Husky it was "C" and they would ship them to me for 148$ and what size T shirt would I want.
V301 is the bolt pattern and it is the same as the Honda, the other number is for the reeds and is used on the Husky. Nice people to deal with had my new cage the next day 30$ cheaper than the dealer plus no shipping or charge for a special order, the tee is just a nice touch. Just don't call during lunch as they take a hour off, must be a N.H thing.

I tried pulling it out when I installed my Lectron but the reed cage is to deep and hits the cylinder.

If the Honda one fits (it will be here today) then I could get a Boysen Rad Valve for it some day.

Fits perfect. Solved my carb / boot issue. We will see if there is a performance difference. The biggest difference is the Honda one has a much bigger mouth where the V-force is necked way down. Not sure what this might mean for performance. Doubt I even notice. Will see.

I rode a KX250 with a reed spacer and a flywheel weight that was very mild... almost too mild, then immediately rode a same year kx250 with a flywheel weight and no reed spacer that ripped like no other 250 I'd ever ridden. Later a friend looked up the VIN on the ripping KX and found out it was purchased new by Destry Abbott. My back to back test rides don't really prove anything except the pros bike are on another plane from the mortal's bikes. BTW the Dusty Rabbit bike just sold for $2,500.

I've always liked the KXs. Had three so far (03-04-06) and just bought another. This time the oldest KX I've had. 1999. Wanted to try this series (99-02). Nice punchy low end with torque and weighted flywheel (stock) followed by very aggressive mid range. They make good trail bikes provided ground is flat. Once hilly and technical its tall first and second gear stinks. I will fit up a 91-94 KDX250 wide ratio transmission in about six months.

The gearing and ergonomics on KX's don't work for me at all. Flat hated the few I rode. Thats why they built all types of bikes for all types of people. I've had more than one person not like my 125 huskys too. I just aquired a 89 RM250 and I have to say that bike really surprised me. I like it much more than I planned to. Kind of wish I had not written Suzuki's off back in the day. this is a Randy Hawkins / Steve hatch days off off road and they really seemed to get it right, for me anyway.

I just did a quick heat cycle ride around the hood on it but feels about the same so far. Sure is more quiet with the new piston that actually fits the hole right :D

Update on this. At first I was not pleased with the performance of the new reed block / reeds. It has less hit on the bottom and seemed kinda lame. The more I ride it though the more I like it. Almost like traction control now. It has good bottom but does not bust the rear tire loose and get all squirly in lower traction conditions. The more I ride it the more I realise it is actually better for my technical riding. I also had to lean my Lectron out a 1/4 turn on the rod and some on the PJ with the new compression and reed block. Now the bike it running hard everywhere, has more controllable bottom end for technical terrain and crawls up stuff amazingly well. Bike seems to have traded some bottom for more mid and top. It is very linear now and works extremely well.

Also replaced well warn swingarm and linkage bearings. That made a very noticable differance as well. This bike is really working great for me and is my go to woods bike now. I just love it. These 2000-04 bikes just work for me.

MOTOSPORTZ, I've been riding this cr and i'm like you ,seems to feel real natural for some reason. motor is a little on the spin it up side but actually pretty nice. Gonna stay with v force 2 for now but have to get a pipe as this is bent at header.

How would the Lectron 'shorty' work with the spacer block? Spacer, VForce2, Lectron shorty!

awesome. But not going to do that. The carb would be as much as I have in the bike. :D

    Oh I getya.

If someone else had the spacer and VForce already, I wondered whether it was viable to stick with the spacer if it did actually add some low down it would add to what the Lectron 36mm already does. Maybe doesn't need it! Also maybe to the 38mm bottom end. Just a thought.

Our riding around here is 3rd-5th gear flowing down to tightish single track. No 'technical' really.

I'm considering the Lectron but am considering all configuration options available. If the spacer did add some low, I would consider this along with a decent reed block along with the 'shorty' if they are viable.
