The reeds in the mossbarger block are a different size than the stock husky reed block . I'm not sure if they make reeds to fit the husky reed block . I tried the heavy/ stiff mossbarger reeds for thier block as what I had weren't closing completely . I could be wrong but didn't seem to as strong down low . Match up some boyesen reeds and have been using those in the mossbarger since . They didn't have the soft/thin reeds at that time so not sure how they would have worked . Maybe someone else have tried both to compare .

A lighter reed will be better for low-mid range power at the expense of top end power, while a stiffer reed will be better mid-top at the expense of some low.

Flow will follow the path of least resistance so if one half of a reed has lighter petals than the other, the heavier side will not open enough or at all. That is why the Boyesen reedes are stacked, the outer lighter petal opens first, then when vacuum is high enough the heavier inner petal opens.
