Unfortunately around here, most of the enduros are going to the Restart formula. No real need for timekeeping anymore.

Yea, The reset/restart series put a damper on the timekeeping biz but if you run those type of events and still program the event in you could use it to check you late status to the event display(the 10 TE 250 husky) played hell with the nepg transpoders(miss reads or no read) early this season and while working or waiting to line up you adjust your start control mileage to keep track of how much time you have insteading of going to the clock to find you still have 20 minutes to wait..

ya I know some Hondas play hell with the transponders...trx450s and cr450x's too....my 04 TE250 had no probs...I really do like the restart format cause anyone can do it but I know alot of people really want to keep it old school...either is fine I just like the awesome trails...

In my opinion it takes the challenge out & makes it easier. Why don't we all go back to the C class. Easier isn't better! Go figure:thumbsdown: But I agree, it's fun to ride all day.

I agree.. You look at the euro vids and the ride and race events mirrored ours in the 70's.. Not today.. make it tough and the "SNIVLERS" club is on the warpath.. lol

I wont get in on tough or not racing....I have done really tough races....some i liked some i hated....it seems some clubs dont understand between tough and stupid...I want tough but doable, I want tough but not lets put 400 bux into my bike so I can ride next week....

I also think that with the economy people cant afford throwing money at their bikes like before...I like tough races where you could finish and were whipped at the end of the day...but can still work monday...

I agree that easier enduros isnt always better..but it seems to be kicking some life into a dying sport so I am all for it...people now want to show up and ride nto worry about all the extra stuff...I agree they are nice sometimes, i tend to ride everything...i might be MXing one week, HS the next and enduro the next....so makes it a little easier to jump around...

but I just wanna ride...dont care where, when only how much...see ya out there

I hear ya there.. Huge difference on the fun factor scale there.. Host a event with tons of DNF's and the next year you'll be lucky to break even as a club.

The new wave will be more Dual sports, gatherings, invintationals and throwdown rides.

ya i see DS as the big thing...I think 1 off races will do good....6 hours, team races and such....hard for people to commit to much these days...I know for me personally I dont really like the races here besides Enduros...So I just hit some here and there...we Have like 7 different HS series within 3 hours...crazy...I am thinking of holding a 6 hour team race here...maybe even a 12 hr if it goes good...
