yes the brand may be as old as Harley Davidson but husky are not husky,, huskys were Swedish it got bought by cagiva they made ther own version of a husky then bmw bought husky and done what they wanted, now ktm own husky ,so in my mind husky are not huskys any more just a label the real company is dead .I remember the real huskys they were brilliant reliable and indestructible

    Just like my italian 360.
The original company maybe dead but the soul lives on.
It takes 7 years for every cell in your body to be replaced by new growth so my question is are you still you or a 7 year old replacement, do you still use your original name?

yer I see what you are saying but cagiva still designed the huskys there is more cagiva in it than husky just my thoghts , didont cagiva design the red and white huskys?? a proper husky is blue and white not full of cagiva electrics or ktm parts .so does that mean ajs a very old british company that made good bikes in the early days ,now that is now reincarnated by a Chinese company making rubbish bikes but still have the ajs name make them good ?

Agree with you mark. The only thing is if they keep the bike fresh and unique even if under a new owner. It is when a company simply uses parts off another current bike and does minimal to nothing much new that's a letdown rebadge. At least the xlights had no others with those parts and some of the rest of the line as well. Today they are sharing parts and that was a stated goal. I like fresh and unique so I will want to own for a long time, not flip with the seasons due to a graphics refresh.

well speaking from my experience of owning a husky cr and wre and the wre was brand new £4200 pound and always mainteaned had to be serviced etc to keep the 2year warrenty valid ..it broke down after 4 or 5 days pulse coil went wrong after the first month head gasket went ,month 3 had to have a new wireing loom and a horn. month 6 new forks fork guards wore in to forks ..month 7 horn broke again .rear master cylinder stoped working .stand had to be replaced ..light bulbs ive lost count how many its had .at 16 months old it blown another head gasket so dealear replaced head and gasket ..since warrenty ended ive had to have a full engine strip main bearings went, and front master cylinder went wrong ,speedo packed up ..pulse coil went wrong again and had to wait 2months for replacement out of stock at Husqvarna lol and wheel bearings all this from a brand new wre bike ,so ive sold the cr and bought a yammy the wre is next to go .

That sucks. I had my early issues but luckily they were assembly/QC issues so bad sentiment initially but all sorted now 3k+ miles later.

when you say centrifugal, all Husky's except the 1987 CR250, yes only one model and one year, very short production run
all others are centrifugal unless you have some info i don't
when Cagiva bought them they used their engines in the 2 strokes
when BMW bought them they left the factory intact and essentially they remained unchanged
save for a few updates and some different plastic the line stayed almost the same
the 250 was updated in 1992 for the purpose of creating a 360 out of the same base
the 250 saw MINOR revisions through it's life (till 2014) with many or most parts being the same or interchangeable
they stopped making the 360 and a few years later added the 300, that was an industry move as most went the same way
the 125 story is quite similar with a very few less parts interchange through it's life
so it's possible you got a dud, i won't say you did not, but most don't, 10 years on my 93 360, oil, tires and plastic parts (due to drops), nothing broke NOTHING
a 99 360, replaced the ignition, replaced the carb for performance, hear the 125's have rod issues sometimes, SOMETIMES
pick any brand and this happens, i have owned more Yammies than anything besides Husky, they break too, but the most reliable Jap ride
if you go to a site where people discuss upgrades and their fun times to bag on a BRAND you are going to get push back

Yup i see the issue its not the husky its you, your doomed with anything mechanical im horrific on electronics go through phones like they were edible and have had 3 computers in as many years electrical stuff loathes me.
You need to get a push bike and your reliability issues will be solved.
